FREE Search Engine Submissions

I have been working on the FREE Search Engine Add URL List a lot lately. Below are some of the updates:
- I have cleaned up the Auto Submit section to reduce redundancy
- I have removed or updated 38 search engines (and their associated links)
- I have added 3 new engines to the mix

All together, it is still the longest running, best, most accurate and by far the largest single listing covering almost EVERY search engine that allows free submissions.

I like your post, but I would want to know if is worth paying some time to submit URL's to these search engines? I have no reason to use this list but I would be happy to know if there is any reason?

the same thought that i was having a while ago. isn't it logical to determine which search engine is widely used and thereby submit our links there to optimize time and efforts? but then again, search engine is a search engine, and i am sure some people are using it.

 

I get about 5% of my search traffic to many of my sites from secondary search engines, so if 5% is worth it to you, then it may be worth an hour of your time (and remember that I submitted once and get 5% month over month)

Yes, but some of the secondary engines have static URL structures or databases that allow the other larger search engines to count those as backlinks to your website in addition to any traffic you get directly from the secondary search engines.

I dont know why people are bother to submit their sites to search engine??.

not much effect but still submitting your site wont give negative effect. it will surely be beneficial only and wont take much time submitting as well

 

thanks. you don't really need to submit to search engines, though. it's more important to submit your links to directories

 

Search engines are for traffic and directories are for backlinks, so I would submit to both if I were you.

You don't need to submit to search engines. The only ones that matter are google, yahoo, and msn/bing. Usually they will find you anyway, but setup or create an account at each, especially google webmaster tools. Submit your sitemap to each of the search engines using their tools. The rest of the search engines will follow them, or are affiliated with them some way or other anyway.

 

Do you have to login to add websites? The URL makes it appear as if you do not, but when I tried it asked for login information.

This is not a search engine, sorry I cannot add it.

 

That is a great list thanks for sharing. Most of the search engines on that list you are not going to get any traffic.

what is different between different list, is it only different version of one job or there is some classification with that, is there some of SE. that repeated in different list of SE.

I could not agree more ... if it's painless to submit then why not get as much exposure as you possibly can, people do still use tier 2 and 3 engines.
