yeah good news, I'm glad at last our government accepted UN resolution. in here a lot of rumors has about it, many people think they want to satisfy western power to do some jobs inside the country. as arrest opposition leaders, and more pressure on Iranian people. The sanctions are coming because it is more BS from Ahmadinijad. The idea behind swapping unenriched uranium for enriched uranium is to keep Iran from enriching it to the point necessary for weapons. Mahmoud's deal with Turkey allows him to continue enriching uranium, meaning he will be able to have nuclear power AND weapons, only faster now. Funny to watch them sell this as a good thing some how. @George: Your comment on this thread, and the other indicate you haven't the first clue about the consequences of a Nuclear Iran. Had you thought it out, you would realize Iran's constant threats to annihilate Israel will leave them no choice but to bomb Iran when they feel all diplomatic measures to prevent Iran's nuclear program have been exhausted. Iran's state sponsorship for terrorist organizations is well documented. I suppose you like the idea of an Iranian built dirty bomb being driven to the border of Israel, or put on a cargo ship to London?

Thats not realistic, preventing further additions to new club is realistic. Muslims countries are in a mess and there's always a chance of the weapons reaching the hands of radicals/terrorists.

A lot more Japanese and Americans would had died if the USA didn't use the nuclear bomb. The downside is that a lot of civilians died. My opinion.

do you mean Japanese sources? anyway Japan invaded a lot of countries and killed innocents people in mass during world war two but we haven't done any assault to other countries at least during last 200 years ago. Hope it won't happen for us. If Japan or Germany had possessed Nuclear weapons, they would have used them. Lets not forget who the aggressor in that little conflict was. Of interest is the fact there has been no World Wide conflict like WWII since their use. The events going on in Iran stand to upset that balance. IRDrupal obviously gets his news and history spoon fed to him at the Madrassa, so I wouldn't expect him to understand that.

If you think the nature of man has changed from the dawn of time, you are mistaken. Nuclear weapons for none is not realistic for a variety of reasons, and most acknowledge that. Iran, and the rest of the countries that do not have Nuclear weapons have survived nicely till now without them. I have yet to hear a compelling argument for the proliferation of Nuclear weapons. If Iran wanted only nuclear power, they could have their Uranium enriched by the US or any other current Nuclear power with almost no questions asked. It is hard to imagine a reason why Iran would want to retain it's enrichment capabilities if it didn't desire to build weapons.
