Yeah this is the first time, I am getting money from Escrow. What do you suggest? A cheque is better is it.

I would rethink my options based on what you advice.

    Thank you...

I guess I will go for the cheque option than. Its rather safer that loosing money with a wrong swift code or loosing out intermediate commisions and stuff. Thanks everyone. I hope this info helps you all who wanna get money to your Local Indian Bank accounts....

^^^ You won't loose money in any case. :p
Don't worry about Wire Transfer ! Its the safest as well as fastest. You will get your money within 3 days while if you request cheque it will take 20 days to reach you and then more 20 days to clear in bank.
And Swift code is very simple to get.
And if you enter wrong Swift or any wrong info money won't get lost. It will be there in your escrow account only.
You can get swift code easily by calling your bank.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I must appreciate SBI and Escrow.com. I got the money in my SBI account within 24 hours of being released from Escrow.com

How much money was that? I am to receive ~$13k from escrow.com for a website sell, so will that create any problem or will need to give clarifications to RBI?
