first time for a Moslim woman

just now I saw in the CNN that "Aravane Rezaï" became winner of Madrid tennis masters!
already she competed at the Women's Islamic Games winning Gold in 2001 and 2005 but I guess this is first time that a Muslim woman won and international tennis game.

 

Her hair is showing. She even wears jewelry. What a shame, we are still waiting for the corresponding Fatwa to be issued.

 

Dont you know Sania Mirza.....????? she is muslim as well.

 

Miss America 2010 can be possibly be a Muslim.

 

Miss USA 2010 Winner is already announced. This year's Miss USA Miss Michigan Rima Fakih is a Muslim.

 

Obviously a very different brand of Islam that what is being taught in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan.

anyway Sania Mirza can play for her country in international competitions but Aravane Rezai can't.

 

I think laws should be same for every women

 

she can't play with this dress for Iran. for that she have to cover herself or play in place that no any man or camera present. also in Iran women prohibited to present in stadium when men are playing football.

 

Frm religious point of view its k but when u r participating in games and sports one cannot stop viewers to see the game n it may be males or females. As you know in this fast world each n every moment can be catched so either one has to leave the game or have to sacrifice his or her rules.

I don't know why this people are mixing sports n religion together if they don't allow women to play in front of men than why the men are watching other country's ladies playing.????

Iranian sport authorities also congrats her and announce that they designed an special dress for her to compete in international competition for Iran! they claimed this dress accepted by heads of this sport. love to see what they designed!lol

 

Or, how about this crazy concept - the same law for every person - male or female! :O

I guess if our sport authorities want to offer one of dresses in the picture, then will lost their job.
they must think of this type of cloths.



I guess Aravan have to forget Iran and play for France.

 

Actually, those sport outfits look reasonable to me, even comfortable to wear. However, I don't think the head covering should be mandatory.
