    Hi digital point community,

I have a question about google's Adsense program. I've heard it is a great way to generate revenue from your website or blog. While surfing Facebook, I got an idea on how to make some money, but i wanted to ask you guys something first before working it out.

My plan is to create Fb-fanpages with links on it, referring to a blog on wich I place Ads. For example, if an user would become a follower of the fanpage, he can click on the link to the blog ("Become a fan to see the picture!" - that kind of stuff). On that blog I place ads and that's how i would make revenue.

Altough I know it will not result in neat webpages, I see no problems with it, its just like any other blog, right? People just click on the link and view the page to see the funny pic, quote, etc...

Now my question is: will google see it as just another blog?

I've heard you can earn yourself a google-ban if you break their rules, would this be the case?

Because, i'm also working on some more serious webprojects, and i wouldn't want to get myself a googlesearch ban. Would google make a problem of this? I know i wouldn't be offering a lot of exciting content on the pages, but would they see it as some sort of -well, i dunno, scam?

    Thanks anyways

just see to it that the content you provide on your landing page (the one with the ads) is valuable to the user.
If it is just Made-For-Adsense then yes, you jeopardize your Adsense Account.

So really think about what you are doing and maybe ask people here to evaluate your page(s) first
before you put ads on them.

But if made correctly this can work.

Always remember that the money you earn comes from advertisers (a lot of them are users of DP as well) and
they expect something in return. If you "trick" users into clicking ADs and they don't convert for the advertiser
you are hurting them and they are the bread and butter for Google so Google will protect THEM from you ;)

Well, Your Bounce Rate will be very high then.. That isnt safe for adsense Anyway...

And yeah, Time on site may also be drastically affected :(

Go for some useful Content Blogs buddy :)

Or if you want to go for the stuff you said, you can, but dont try adsense, Use any other ad Publishers :)

    Thanks

So if I clearify on the fb-page clearly that the link will take them to a page where the content of the fanpage is shown, and the page would definitely have content related to the fb-fangroup (not just a page full of ads), it would be ok?

The bounce rate has nothing to do with adsense.

The bounce rate on my forum is about 85% and that is constant for years but google SE and Adsense love my forums ;)

I have contacted Google in the past and let their support point me in the right direction. They will usually give you a link to something that you can read, but I guess that's better than nothing.
