5 Years Later -- Are we any safer (A soldiers thoughts)

There is a reason I haven't taken the time to respond to you and that's just because I really cannot give a rat's ass about what non-Americans have to say about our foreign policy. Everyone has an opinion, but everyone has an asshole too. You can talk and talk and talk but in the end, you aren't a U.S. citizen and therefore you don't have the right to vote in a U.S. election and therefore you don't have any say whatsoever in what my country does. So, sorry. You'll just have to be content sitting on the sidelines.

 

Don't take my word for it. Just take Congress' word for it. Or don't. I don't care. You're wrong either way.

Anyways, if there were so many cases to go to war with Iraq, and if they really posed an immenent threat to the world and Americans then why didn't the world jump on board to take Saddam out? Why did the Bush admin have to 'sell' the american people on the idea that Saddam had WMD's/was connected to 9/11 and posed a threat to the world?

Why didn't the world jump on board? It was called the oil for food program coupled with an oil voucher program. Our allies sold us out, because they had the most to loose from the oil for food program. Then later on, we found out that people in high places in governments we consider allies, along with some in the UN, took oil vouchers from saddam to make millions and millions of dollars. In effect, these countries and people within positions of power and influence, sold out. They were bought, by saddam.
