Ok, so here's my story. I started marketing CB products on yahoo answers. Sold two products about two months ago. Got very excited. Tried using Google Adwords. Didn't turn out well, lost $141.00 in the process without making any sales. Bottom line, not doing that again. I need everyone's help here. I need to make money by marketing the products, without spending money because I cannot do that anymore. Yahoo answers is too much of a hassle with VERY little conversions. I'll probably post and let the link be known which takes about a minute a post considering copying and pasting, submitting, editing, re-copying and then re-pasteing the new link, and then clicking on a new one. It takes about a minute. Not really worth it to have 1 out of 40 people click it, and then 1 out of 200 to possibly buy it. So I need you guys to tell me how I can possibly market the products without spending money. I currently have a website that I do not use... and I can use any methods with that to help get my products to sell. Please guys, need your help! Many thanks!
IF you're spending 0 dollars, then use free 2.0 sites like Squidoo and Hubpages. You can buy .infos for .99 and redirect them in cpanel with no website and write articles. Some money and you can buy a .com and seo it to make long term money in the serps. You have 1 post, so maybe you don't know about building links to your websites yet to get them to rank. Basically, you have to manufacture links on other sites to have them point back to your site to get them to climb in the search engine results to get as high on the first page as you can. You can use software to automate this, but that costs $, and you said no $. So, uh, drop links on free pages that you can create like Squidoo, Blogger, Hubpages, Yola, Blogger, etc, and write articles for places that are free like EzineArticles, Article Base, GoArticles, SearchWarp, and Article Dashboard.
Are you collecting leads? You'll get much better ROI if you do. The way to do it is to the following: 1) Write a short report that is a) useful and b) designed to make the reader want the product 2) Set up an opt-in page/Squeeze page (You'll need an autoresponder, but you can get that for free for the first month from the link in my free report below (the one for Affiliate Marketers) 3) Set up an email series in your autoresponder where you provide helpful info AND make them want the product ;-) 4) Use that to build a list AND at the same time sell the CB products. Hope that's helpful.
Read bum marketing method - teaches (for free) the very basics of Internet traffic generation: http://www.bummarketingmethod.com The whole premise is that you can generate traffic for free and make sales using article marketing type sources - i.e. a "bum" could do it and make money.
You might have "lost" $141.00, but you got experience in return, and next time you'll do better. Dont give up, it will cost you money to get started, but once you learn you will get all the losses back with interests + more!
My 2 cents: Marketing with articles will take a long time before it starts providing consistent sales. It's long, sometimes frustrating, work and if you're competing in an overcrowded niche, you'll be bumping heads with some of the old pros who post on this forum. Very tough work indeed. I've been doing it for 3 months now and have only seen 1 sale! Google Adwords will provide quick results, but it's tricky work. Google is needlessly mysterious with their methods and competition is high in some niches, but money can be made. I put up my first campaign, spent a total of $30, and made about $220. My second campaign got me $190 for $18 with half of my profits getting re-invested into future campaigns. The thing with Adwords is that you have to diligently watch the trends. You can't just start a campaign and let it rest for a couple of days without checking in. Losing $141 is a pain, but I would've been out and on to another ad or product at the $40 mark if I hadn't seen any sales... With a budget of Zero, articles are a must, but I wouldn't rule out Adwords in the future...
Agreed, get an education in IM with articles - learn how to write, what gets clicks, views, what sort of articles convert, which keywords you can rank for and which convert, learn to write and tweak your landing pages till they are consistent then take your positive results and dip into ppc for them - at least you will have a head-start and an idea that certain keywords convert at least in article format, on a landing page which gets a good click thru to a vendor and leads to sales.
Yeah if you don't want to spend money it sounds like your only hope is article marketing, making a free blog with blogger and directing search engine traffic or forum posting on relevant forums.
PPC is not the way to start off if you're on a tight budget ... You might have to lose a couples thousands to make a campaign profitable. Start off with article marketing, it's one of the cheapest yet effective method to get a little traffic and sales. Al.
Every noob marketer will lose money promoting CB products on Adwords and it can be a costly mistake. You need to get a better understanding of the keyword research, conversions, and ad copy before diving into PPC.
Newbie marketer will always lose money by using Adwords but the only way for without using any money to promote clickbank product is press release for me, it is working great for me at the moment
