The first wrong move GOOGLE ADSENSE has made for the publishers and thats costing us big time.

As you all might have noticed your Adsense CTR has taken a big down fall for all the publishers starting this month and because of it the revenue has gone down to 50%.

The reason for it is the new ad format google has started for their advertisers starting 1st may 2010 which allows them to have a single text ad in leaderboard and large rectangle unit.

My CTR has fallen down from almost 1% to 0.35% due to this new ad format

Plz let me know how much of CTR has fallen for you in this month comapred to last month

I'm sorry to hear this because I was just about to try out Adsense on some of my high traffic websites. I hope that the decreased CTR is just temporary...

My CTR is up slightly this month, although it is likely from better ads being shown. Google experiments with new ad formats to increase their revenue, not decrease it. If it doesn't produce more income as a whole, they won't stay with it. If CTR goes down, they make less money. If you have other options that are going to net you more money, then by all means go with it. No use worrying about changes you can't control. MSN has much better ad customization, but they don't have near the advertisers as google and you'll likely make half of what you do with adsense if the CTR is the same.

My earning was dropped last month but this month again it has gone up again and so far it looks like I will earn more money than I ever did.

My CTR increased by about 0.05% based on 450,000 pageviews logged for this month.

So no idea what you're talking about :)

I' not sure about Amazon but I think Google do this for Blogger blogs. All kind of blogspot blogs including ones with Amazon ads have been removed for "SPAM"

Guys i m talking about Leaderboard and Large Rectangle units only.. if you guys get revenue from Wide Skyscraper (160x600) or Banner (468 x 60) or any other unit it wont effect you....

Havent anyone of you noticed the Single ad in the Leaderboard and Large Rectangle units on your or any other sites...

90% of my sites use only the 336x280 and CTR is up. There are other things that can affect CTR - ad relevance, traffic source, entrance keywords, etc. Try using another size format, but there is nothing else you can do to force the number of ads showing. Google often shows less than 4 ads per block - usually when there are less advertisers for the keyword, or a wide difference in payout.

My CTR this month is steady and my earnings increased by about 40% (yes you read correctly :p) in comparison to last month.
Can't see why you think that your case transfers to all other publishers?

One way to combat this is to use several adsense ad boxes on your pages.

My CTR has stayed relatively the same to previous months. If your CTR reduced as a result of these changes, then the CPC should improve as the Advertiser is paying more to reserve your ad spot exclusively.

Where is the source you got this news from?

I have seen no change in earnings. Did you look at your traffic stat's for this month compared to last months? The minute someones earnings go down i see threads created.

If your earning goes down, Google's revenue also goes down. If such trend persists, Google will revert to the old format.

CTR hasn't moved for me. Stop looking for excuses. Just work on increasing your traffic at all times.
