I have a not so popular product. I was checking what the automated review sites have to say about my product and was shocked to see that the site r.ecommended.com is displaying my refund rate as around 25% while I haven't had a single refund yet! I have got less than a total of 100 sales for that product with zero refund rate, not even a refund request has been made yet. Isn't it fraud to display wrong and unproven information about any website out there? The whole business model of that website is based upon automated refund rate calculation. All the posts seem to be automated ones The refund rate is wrong in my case and I'm sure he's costing you sales especially if you have a low gravity product because that's where his automated pages tend to rank well. So be careful. I lowered the price from $37 to $27 and that could be a reason for the wrong calculation. You take 6 months to make a product and these automated sites take a second to condemn it. Look for the affiliate ID d60eba in your stats. I'm sure he's making a LOT of sales but his is spreading bad name about CB products all over. Isn't there a way to get his as* banned from CB? WTH Edit: Have you ever stopped any review site from displaying wrong information about your product? Have you managed to take down the page (if they are on web 2.0 sites) or even filed a complaint with hosts? Have you had any similar issues in the past?
That's funny that you just posted this because I discovered a problem today on his website. I mean all in all I will say I like his website, I have received a decent amount of sales from there. But, today for some reason his website says that my product sells for $57 and it sells for $47 (with a $57 upsell) and that made my refund rate much higher and not real or fair. He has an option where you can become a member and claim your website and then I think you can dispute your refund rate. But in your case, I think lowering the price wouldn't cause your refund rate to go up, it would cause it to go down at first (by the way they calculate it). But what really sucks ass about it is that if you have an upsell that is lower, like a $50 product with a $20 upsell, it will make your amount per affiliate go down because clickbank just counts it as 2 different sales, and this will cause these automatic refund calculations to make your website look like it has a high refund rate. fo sho But anyway, just claim your site and dispute it.
I don't know how he calculates the refund rate but what i know is that those figures are wrong and misleading. I don't think a vendor should have to go to every such site and dispute the figures. He shouldn't have them there in the first place. What if xx other sites come up and do the same thing? What a waste it will be. The reviews on his site are all based upon the automated refund rate calculations that are wrong anyway. So i don't think he deserves to keep his account. Can all of you vendors take a minute to complain to CB? He's giving a bad name to most of you, so why not try to get him banned? I think if a lot of vendors complain about him, he'll be either banned right away or at least he'll be forced to stop the automated calculations. Lets teach him a lesson so that xx other sites don't start doing the same thing.
That's definitely the reason. I sell multiple products at different prices which basically renders any refund calculation useless unless you know the exact distribution of sales between the products. Hmm, he's also exposing my down sell discount which is definitely not cool...
Were on there too, and we used to have a less than favourable review - something along the lines of "theyre not bad, but you should probably go for someone more trusted and reliable first"... i think some is automated but they do update and write mnaual unique content to get rankings, so write to them and tell a bit about your product, they want products which sell on there and responsive vendors so they will probably read what you have written and update you at some point - don't expect a response from them tho
