Contest $25 header comp

I am looking for a header image for my new website NigelLane.net

The header should contain my picture - link to photo

The color scheme is currently green (Please take a look at the website), but if you have something else in mind, I am open to that.

The website will be a motivating one, within the self-help niche. So, the colors/header must be very soothing to the user and not flashy. It should inspire trust and confidence more than anything else.

The slogan is "Helping people find a better way"

Here are the Details:

Contest Runs for 3 days
It ends on May 19th 2010

Prize Money - $25 [payable through Paypal]

I will give regular feedback but I am in Australia - so the time difference may create some delays.

I will choose one winner out of all the entries and will expect all the rights of his entry (one banner only) upon payment. I will need the original psd file and also a jpg file of the winner.

Also, please keep in mind that this can be an ongoing work for the winner, so do give your best.

What size do you need it to be?

 

It needs to be 950px wide, but the height can be flexible - ensuring it doesnt take up the full screen

 

Hmmm - 98 views but no entries. What did I do wrong - suggestions here or pm please.

Thanks for your entry; my initial response is that I like the blue, I like the clean font, Not oversure about the arrows - either as a design feature or the colour.

What did you have in mind with the arrows?

Thanks killer d - my initial reaction is: I like the Nigel Lane in the background, not keen on the tagline fading to green as it seems to diminish its relevance; also the right hand side feels kinda empty. Again a nice clean font.

Thanks bhoduarts. What happened to the top of my head! Was that done to make me look younger and have hair?

I like the green, and the 'swirls' in the background. Clear fonts [pity about the spelling mistake].

General comment: some good entries, feel free to keep them coming and I will do my best to give quick feedback.

Thanks Arun Efx. Like the colour, and the way you have put the name and tagline in the 'box' effect. Not keen on the design to the right - at first I thought it was pasta/fettucinne! If you can look again at that side of the hedaer and try and evoke something a touch more 'serious' and professional.

Thanks killer - I like the new colour of the shirt, and the colour design too - is it possible to move the world around a little and show Australia on it ?

 

Moving Forward... Direction. Was just my initial concept. ....find a better way.

 

bhoduarts: like the globe with Australia but I am still unsure about how the photo has come out, maybe it is the distortion that causes the top to be missing? Did it happen in the re-sizing or ?
