I was working on a SEO project for a new age penis enlargement company that uses new techniques to enlarge smaller penises. The project was quite innovative and not like any other "scam" you will find on the internet. It had professional doctors with MDs working with patients year-round to treat the condition. However, Google decided that it would be a good idea to penalize all penis enlargement sites so we couldn't even make page 5. And article websites and directories are so afraid of Google that they also removed our links. I thought Google wasn't going to legislate morality. Now I see they legislate medical freedom too.
You are quote mistaken, penis enlargement sites are not penalized. In fact no legal markets or industries are at all penalized, and that includes porn, gambling, penis enlargement and viagra. The reason you can't make page 5 is because it's a competitive market and a competitive term. Those who rank higher than your site for "penis enlargement" simply have better SEO and longer mileage. Consider engaging a top-notch SEO professional and have a budget for it. If yours is indeed a truly innovative project with serious medical or scientific value and with broad recognition in the medical profession, a serious SEO will know exactly how to leverage that for your ranking success. I hope this helps a bit!
When searching for "penis enlargement" http://www.google.com/search?q=peni...&aq=t&client=firefox-a&rlz=1R1GGGL_en___AR347 , I could notice more than 7 sites exclusively dedicated to that content. Plus hundreds more in the following pages. So, google didnt penalize all these sites, maybe just yours.
I agree that google does not penalize on the type of product you're selling or promoting. If you feel your site has been penalized, you can try contact them for more information. Perhaps it is something you can fix. Make sure you are not trading links with sites that google has penalized as they call them "bad neighborhoods". Make sure your content is all original and doesn't just sound like a giant sales pitch. I wish you all the best
It may be that your industry is hugely competitive and therefore you have not reap the results of your work yet.
I agree that's it soo early to know if your site has been penalised. In highly competitive areas, and your is very very competetive, it can take many months to get properly ranked. Also you'll need great content and fantastic SEO to rank on those terms. Ste
