Can anyone explain please how article marketing result into link building?

I heard that many submit their articles to popular directories such as Ezine and 100's of other small ones. Does acceptance to these directories automatically mean links are earned?

Quality backlinks boost your PageRank and your position in search engines, paving the way for increased targeted traffic. Search engines depend on links for search rankings, so the constant introduction of new links is key to your success. Google and the other search engines need to know that your site is relevant; building relevant backlinks is a critical part of this. As your article is posted on more and more sites, those links tell the search engines that your site is popular.

But if backlinks are earned upon acceptance and publication of my articles at ezine and other article directories, why are the links not reflected when I check them? Or the process does not stop here, but instead my articles should be picked up and posted by other bloggers to their blogs in order to gain backlinks?

If your article was freshly accepted and published, it might take some time for that page to be crawled and your link to be counted. However, Yahoo displays almost all links, but it just takes a bit longer to crawl them. Just be patient ;)

I believe your problem is that you think you get link AFTER you submit article. Answer is not. YOU are the one who creates a backlink - you write an article, and then put a link to your site in the resource box.

On ezine articles, the article, and then the link itself gets crawled in a matter of 24 h most upon your article gets published.

yes, you are absolutely right that Quality backlinks boost your PageRank and your position in search engines. The main thing in article marketing is that you put one link of you site where you put the products link. You get traffic from article directory and get clicks on website and the your products are sold here . By articles marketing you get quality traffic and quality product sell.

You just answered my query. Yes, I do write the article together with the resource box containing the links to my blog and a blog page.
So, basically I earn a link whenever ezinearticles.com publish my article, am I right?

Yes. Believe me, I tested it personally and not just me, tons of other marketers witnessed the power of submitting articles, especially to ezine articles, goarticles and articlesdashboard.

    Glad I cleared your issues.

Articles have content which are rich in keywords. Search engines will weigh the keyword content and rank accordingly. My site has a growing article database. You can exchange articles with other members.

Not all the links in 100 article directories are counted by search engines. Do not forget that many smaller article directories do not survive beyond the first year. So the risk of losing the link exists.

This may be common knowledge at this point, but there are a surprising number of article destinations that are nofollowing their links, so these are more or less counting for nothing.

Be careful not to abuse the situation when submitting articles, overuse can result in penalties. As everyone said patience is needed

Article marketing has nothing to do with SEO. Perhaps you are refering to article link building.
Article marketing is when you use copywriting skills into your articles to lead the readers to buy a product or just follow the link to your website.
