I have just recently written an ebook that I would like to give away free to users who sign up for my newsletter. I have already signed up with Aweber as I heard it is the best. The problem is I have no idea how to deliver the free ebook to users who sign up. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to have users download my ebook?
You can configure this in your aweber settings. After visitors subsrice they should receive a confirmation email. After confirming they are beeing redirected to your download link. Check out these aweber tutorials: http://www.aweber.com/videos.htm
well how do you host your blog? if you are using a free site that doesn't allow file uploads you can try services like dropbox / google docs / rapidshare / etc...
You would just upload the ebook to your blog directory and then in your download page you would write in the html section: <a href="http://blogname.com/ebook.pdf">click here to download</a>. You could if you wanted create a subdirectory but its not necessary
If you are giving away a free ebook to build your list. Then use double opt-in. And when a visitor goes to their email and clicks on the link to subscribe, then it should be taken to the download page for the free ebook. Hope it helps Dan
Hmm... Just have a look here http://freeautoresponder.biz/ http://www.startupnation.com/How-add-newsletter-signup-blog-ebook-delivery-/topic/ It will do!
Use a subscription form which responds to the subscriber with an email containing a link to the eBook to download. Go check out the Newsletters/Mailing List plugin over at tribulant.com
Well, I guess it's cleared up now, as people have answered your question. If you still face difficulties then this might help: Your subscriber will put their name and email address in your opt-in form. When they click 'submit', they should be directed to a 'thank you' page (which you will create). Then, they will receive a 'confirmation' email. There will be a link there. When they click on that, they will be taken to the 'you have been confirmed' webpage (which you will create). They will now receive another email, either with a DIRECT link to the eBook or a link to the DOWNLOAD page (which you will create). In the download page, there will be a direct link to download the eBook. Before they can download, you will need to upload your eBook to your host. That link should be passed on to subscribers in the 2nd email that I mentioned, either through a direct link, or a download page link. (you could even attach the eBook in the email, Aweber provides that option also, so it will be a normal attachment that people just download directly from the email.)
