Using Vendor A's material to promote Vendor B's product?

    Anyone doing that?

Recently, I am promoting Vendor B's product and it converts quite ok. However, vendor B doesn't really provide useful affiliate materials while vendor A's affiliate materials are pretty good. Just wondering should I use vendor A's materials to promote vendor B's product?

    Why not use Vendor A's material to...I don't know...promote VENDOR A's PRODUCT?!?!?

Seems like a strange question...but I guess it depends on what affiliate materials you are using.

technically there is nothing they can do, but its not really a good business practice and might cause you problems in the future - if you really wanted to JV or work properly with people, or may cause suspicion or issues of trust... why bother? Why not just spend a couple of hours and create your own materials based on the ones that work if it is really going to be worth it?

Contact them? they might have some articles they have written themselves they can point you to to re-write, if you just use the stock materials that everyone else uses anyway then you will not rank that well probably - always better to make your own reviews / write your own articles if you can - just use their materials as a base to go off..

I think the best thing you can do is contact the vendor and find out if they can make available some materials. After all, you are promoting their product.

There is nothing stopping you, I suppose, what I would do is contact the site that i was getting sales with and explain that i dont want to leave them but need some affiliate tools.

If they don't respond or get aff tools up then leave and promote product B with product B aff tools.

At least give them a chance though.

You gotta reach out to the vendor, you never know what insider tips they can give you that would make your conversions shoot through the roof with their product, even if you had some trouble converting it. You could be leaving a lot of money on the table, because you may not know that with the proper pitch you could be destroying vendor B, you may not, but you never know until you ask. The vendor knows how to convert the product the best, or knows the affiliate that is doing it the best, and they can help you a lot without compromising another affiliate's traffic sources. There is a huge difference in conversion rates with my product between the best and average affiliates, and only slight differences between their pitches and design that make a huge difference. You've got nothing to lose by asking some questions.

I did email them but they told me they dont have a review page and any articles. They also said " as an affiliate, you should do all these things myself since i am getting 75% of commission. " lol~

The way they reply me is totally F up. Just that the product converts quite well, if not i won't promote his product for sure.

You might have a problem with that, in my case I was promoting vendor A's product on my site, until i decided to promote vendor B's product. when i promoted vendor B I just changed the hoplink on the site, weeks later, vendor A sends me an email, saying im violating his copywrite and will have clickbank terminate my account.

    Replay to Mr. Android:-

The vendor might have played a mischief here. Since he gets the email of all the buyers, he might have mailed to them and would have told to ask for a refund and promised to sell the same product thro his own affiliate link for 25% of price . He loses nothing and you lose everything. You should have created a seperate landing page to conceal the change of product. However I am not advocating stealing of copyrighted material.

Or he doesn't care, since he barely loses any money, and is simply manually refunding every one of this affiliate's sales. I would say that if he's doing this, he is seriously a piece of trash, and if all of your sales keep getting refunded, you should even contact CB, but it's doubtful that they would ever do anything, and it's even far unlikelier that you could prove he was doing it intentionally.

Sounds like you already know the right answer here. Carma can really be a bi$ch you know. I would suggest you work something out, something that makes you now even want to ask this question....

The vendor did pull one trick here, being a vendor in Clickbank you CAN order a refund from every sale up to 90days. He is doing so one by one. until all his sales are refunded. I did email Clickbank about this, and the reply was that the vendor is one of the highest selling vendors in CB and that the refunds are good. Now Im promoting a different vendor but still am getting hit by vendor a's refund that doesn't seem to end. BTW the page has already been modified for the appropriate vendor. What bugs me is that vendor a is following my promotional efforts. what a hobo..LOL

just do it. better to beg for forgivness than to ask for permission. fact is, they will never find out anyway. i do this alot with other niches.

they may have a killer landing page template and i use it to promote other products not even in the same niche....I just change the text and maybe the pictures if i need to
