I am having a hard time getting backlinks. I keep submitting everywhere I possibly can and keep getting rejected because I have PR 0. How am I supposed to up my PR if nobody will be kind enough to help out? (I'd be happy with 1 or 2 at this point, can't even get that) Sorry, just a little rant. It's tough when people are not willing to help out "because they have nothing to gain". Boy, I'll be sure to help a few noobs out if I ever get this damn website going! Venting over...
The easy way would be to pay for links. Or.... check out my sig for a way to get a free PR3 sitewide backlink.
Thanks for the information folks. I have been submitting to directories, etc. but I will take advantage and browse through the info provided. Thanks, any information helps!
Just buy the links, where is the url to your site?, not acceptance for having pr0 is not usual is like 1 in 100.
Have you tried recip linking with other new, PR0 websites? Also, put your website in your signature (It will be available in your UserCP once you have 10 posts). Submitting to directories and buying some cheap links will help the ball rolling. Good luck!
How many links do you suggest? And buying links from such places as AdBrite, will that help? I have spent tons of money with them, most with good results on traffic, but google still doesn't see any backlinks. Will they count paid links as backlinks?
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=141422 You can start by submiting to this directories.
Sorry - but AdBrite doesn't count as backlinks. Neither does AdSense or any other advertising that use JavaScript to deliver their ads. How do you find out? Find a site that publish the ads and take a look at the source (the HTML). If you don't see the text links - then a bot can't see them either. The best thing you can do now is get you site into your signature - once you make your required posts.
No, I mean to buy links on other websites (since you're having a hard time getting recip). Check here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=58
I'm listening guys, thanks for the tips. I did not know that the AdBrite ads did not help PR, maybe I will save some of that money and just use it to pay for direct links on good PR sites. It's just not like the old day though, when I created a site, submitted it to a few engines, and watched the money roll in. Damn google!
Its easy to get upto pr 4. Just create a wordpress blog on your site and start submitting to blog directories
Write a good article and submit it to the article directories with your link in the resource box. If the article and your site are good, other sites might just use it; if they don't you still have links in the article directory.
Well first off how long has it been since you started the site? Because the PR doesn't just jump up out of nowhere, it takes time. I'd suggest starting out by posting your link in your signature on every forum you post on. Then submit your site to any and all directories, and links pages that pertain to the category of your site. You'll find that although it may take six months or more it's really easy to get to PR4. Don't feel bad about being turned down by sites with higher PR because we've all been there. I had quite a few sites turn me down with pretty nasty emails. Times change though because there was once a time that I asked a certain site for a link exchange over and over again without any response. Then after my site finally reached PR5 (their site is/was a PR4 and when I contacted them I was below that) they contacted me! Needless to say they never got a response from me.
I agree with stephfoster. When I started out, writing articles and giving it out for free in return for a backlink worked well...
In my experience, writing articles is what generate the most back links. write an article (or get somebody to do it for you), and submit to article distributor services (isnaer and articlemarketer work pretty good). you will spend something around 10 to 20 bucks each time you submit an article, but will pay off in the long run
The problem is, when your language isn´t english, the options are far limited, but also you have less competitors.
