    You have to ensure that you are varying your titles and descriptions a bit, it's easy for search engines to detect artificial links if all links have same anchor text.

    Directoy is still a big factor to create backlinks, just submit your site 20 or more directories and its all wrth it. After 2 months or so your site will get backlinks and might have a PR.

    Yeah.. you can get a backlinks even the directories are no-follow but be careful on the spam directories. You should be able to submit your site to do follow web directories and I am sure it will help your search engine rankings..

    As you already stated, a link in a directory is a real old practise for gaining powerfull backlinks. But indeed as stated by already a couple of other members here, its important to have not the same description balsted all over the net. That way you will be hurting your serps instead of improving them.

    If your description is indexed at 1000 directories and its the same one all over again it will raise same spam flag at Google. That's why we always submit not a single copy of the description for our clients. If you are going to get backlinks from directories, do it right.

    Yup! One Way Directory submission definitely can be helpful these days but the matter of links approval at number of directories is the fact that reduced it

    Yes, you can get backlinks from directory. Just continue to submit your site to various directories as not all of then approved your site right away after submission.

    but the directory site have the page rank above 5 or 6 than it is more helpful.
