Touching people's lives means nothing. So did Malcolm X, hitler, and various other disturbed people....with variable idealogies to spout. In one record he speaks of the plight of pregnant women, and in the next he'll speak of fuckin hoes and killing people.....wow, how nice. Some people here think that music has no effect on people; with a mild delusion about how the actual culture of the new-left came about. Clue:the establishment didn't create the new-left. Tupac philosophy was a seemly unaware philosophy of vicimology within a philosophy of self-responsibility. He constantly speak against people and then preach the opposite at different times. First he wants Biggie dead, then he says that he took the wrong direction in life....make your fuckin mind-up. His message was: I fucked-up, and I probably will continually fuck-up...but others probably shouldn't do the same. What a hero!? Note:I always wondered why he had this fixation on jesus-like cruxification things, being that he himself was a muslim. It's kind-of arrogant for him to compare himself to someone (ie Jesus) whom had a more integerity driven philosophy...one that made a lot more sense.
I can appreciate the irony here. Based upon your posts here for the last year, it's been quite apparent that you want Americans to lay down and die rather than defend our country against terrorists. How similar the message. Give yourself a good "locker room" slap on the ass, yo As for Tupac, was never a fan. I'm fond of the old generation of soul music; the Temptations, O'Jays, Stylistics, Spinners, Luther, Barry, Al, Marvin etc. *That* was music
2pac is dead http://www.ewsonline.com/2pac/alive.html Read up the Whole Thing. i know he is alive, everything is with 7's with him he is probaly going to come back 7-7-07 i bet you
So your emotions never overwhelm you? You never say things when your pissed off? You're never hypocritcal? He had many messages actually. To stop the black on black violence, for youths to better themselves, for men to respect women, that our police and government are corrupt, and to do anything to survive. You have to remember he'd gone through more in 25 years of life than 5 other people do their entire lives.
I'm almost at a loss for words. That has got to be one of the most Liberal cop outs I have EVER seen.
You mean the thread's readers understand that it is lawful to shoot in the defense of another human being from attackers? I'd assume they know this too.. but it's apparent that you don't
Don't kid yourself bouncy. They're reading the entire thread, not just your little post. Again, think.
Lets keep this in context. If I had a talent at rapping, music or anything that reached the mass public...would I make responsible choses in how I expressed myself? Absolutely. I'd be morally responsible for my impression upon millions of impressionable young kids (whom definitely hear these cds). I don't know how many thousands of young men I've met, whom speak of women as hoes as blanket generalization (and happen to love rap)....Did they learn that from their mom and dad? Plausible but it's a lot more likely they got it from cultures of music and youthful thought. It takes a man to have the courage of following his positive convictions...not only to express them always, but to live them. Tupac always said his enemies were cowards, but he was in that sense a coward to his convictions. As for me, I've done things I'm not proud of, but I don't ever express my faults as positive among others. My problems and vices are my own, and are never to be displayed as positive. A rather active life, that would have best been displayed in a more rational fashion. The black community needs people like Oprah or Bill Cosby, in ways...not more people 'keepin it real.'
Texas, maybe; California, you have to use 'REASONABLE' force ie you can get sued if you use 'excessive force', even on robbers.
I'm not sure.. but I thought anywhere in the US you have a right to "reasonable" self defense (and defense of others). By reasonable they mean if someone calls you a name or steps on your foot you can't just rip their head off... I think a good example is the death of the latest rapper, Proof. The guy that shot him isn't being charged with murder, why?, because he killed him after proof shot another man (he was acting in that man's defense).
I think you're forgetting again, that Tupac was a man telling the story of millions of poor struggling youths trapped the ghetto. You can lay the blame on him for "bitches and hoes" and any other thing.. but he didn't just make those things up... he was "reporting" what was happening. Is it not his social responsibility to report the truth in all it's vividness when no one else would?
