Domain is already in use by another account. - help please

I recently purchased a website and when I try to register it with the coop I get the "Domain is already in use by another account." error message. The previous owner assures me this domain has been deleted from any coop account he had, yet it still does not work.

If someone could help me out with this it would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

I don't think the powers that be can do much without the domain name in question.

Yes, he is a member here and actually gave me access to his account where he said it used to be listed.

"I have deleted all websites in my (old) coop account, including iriver.ws. In other words, the account is completely empty.

I have changed the logon details and you're welcome to take over the account if you want to:

Username: reseller"

And he also included the password, but I get the same error when I try to set it up in his account.

Is there anything else you need? Would it be possible to just remove it from the DB so I can add it to my account?

I think the seller is wrong about the account he had it in, because when I try to change the base URL it gives me the same error message about the account being use in another account.

by the way the account username the seller gave me was: reseller

 

is there any way you could reset it or something so i could start from scratch?

 

by any chance was the domain given through godaddy.com?

Hey I'm really not trying to be annoying here, but should I give up on this? The only reason I'm so persistent is this is actually a site I acquired specifically because I thought it would do well w/coop (I know this isn't your problem, etc., just explaining why I keep asking for help getting this thing working).

No, I bought it from a member here under the screen name kokopelli (in the bst section)--if that is his e-mail it isn't one he corresponded with me under. kokopelli probably bought it from that person (guessing here).

 

Any other info you need?
