Blog comments do a lot of good things for your blog. A Blog is not worthy unless it has valuable comments. Blog comments make your blog more interactive and social by allowing readers to join in the conversation. Blog comments will be helpful to drive more traffic and good ranking
recently on search i got a very good list of do follow blogs. I will share http://www.freetechy.com/seo/free-high-page-rank-dofollow-blog-list-t7.html
I think blog commenting (on dofollow blogs) is definitely beneficial for SEO. The problem is most people don't do it right. You MUST read the post and contribute to the discussion if you expect the blogger to give you a link.
I agree with this one. A lot of them obviously loves spamming the site, like their typical lines " Great Post, Thanks for sharing" then links all over.
But what if the blog is PR6 and you are commenting on page with PR0? Is this the same as commenting on blog PR0?
It's still useful if you leave a quality comment and not post spam. As most of the dofollow comments are usually moderated and so you need to post quality comments to ensure that you comment gets approved.
Blog commenting is needful activities in SEO point view. This helps in increasing backlink & PR as well as getting more traffic
Most people switched their blogs to no follow due to hundreds of spams being recieved everyday. But I belive blog commenting still works especially if it has a high PR. One good thing about blog commenting is that the links get indexed quite fast.
You are right. It is true in my case. I started blogging last month. Total of a dozen so far. No comments so far. I don't know whether any one reads it. But I derive pleasure in continuing and to build up a mountain of blogs slowly. If you comment on my blog www.rightmyearnest. blogspot.com you would be the first person to do so. I write on different subjects. If found interesting keep contacts.
of course! blog commenting is very useful if you know how to find it. make sure the blog is dofollow and dont spam the blog to the death.!
yes, 90% of all blogs now are being set to nofollow tag and we will lose all of our priority in those blogs as well.
thanks everyone for highlighting discussions on blog commenting. now pl explain how to make blog in do follow list.
This is purely opinion, though SEO is something that is done locally to your website through the proper wording of your pages, titles, meta tags, using appropriate anchor text, linking out to other viable and related information, providing useful information for users etc....this is SEO(Search Engine Optimization). Remember also, even though Google is the big boy in the pond, they are not the only search engine, you will get adequate traffic from other search engines as well when you use these tactics. Now for the bread and butter...the name of the game when obtaining traffic is numbers, the more people you have visit your site the more successful your site will be. How to do this? Naturally is heavenly, though so much focus is put into following whatever technique is going to get you the ultimate PR the truth of the matter is that if you use genuine, ethical, and honest techniques your traffic and PR will naturally skyrocket with it. Is a blog dofollow or nofollow, truth of the matter is that the fact it is one today does not mean it won't be the other tomorrow. Once it changes, or disappears all that work and effort you put in to only post to dofollow blogs is lost. If a blog is interesting to you and you have useful information to contribute, or good questions to ask then post a comment...don't fill your comments with links to here or there. There is no need, fill out the info with your email address and website URL, have a Gravatar account that has your information as well, you are getting two links for the price of none this way, and blog owners will appreciate you for your ethics and honest practices, Google and other engines also will appreciate your efforts. Is the blog nofollow? Well do they have traffic? Does the blog get a hundred or a thousand visitors a month or possibly more? You are getting advertising from all of their visitors, are they in Google? Again your comment is attached to their pages in Google so you are again getting more traffic even though it was a nofollow comment. Other excellent methods of marketing are posting to forums, by being a contributing member regardless of whether the forum is follow or nofollow you are creating your brand, you. Even forums that do not allow signature links have your URL and information in your account information if you have filled it in, and search engines like Google pick this information up on your posts giving you still more links that show up at least temporarily in Google and other search engines. Writing, or paying others to write credible and useful articles and blog postings for your website again builds upon your brand, this also ads to the importance that Google attaches to you, the more you appear to offer useful and viable information and services to other web travelers the more respect you obtain from the search engines. Keep in mind a few things, any targeted traffic is good traffic, nofollow and dofollow do not determine the worth of your contributions completely, possessing a PR6 does not mean you will be highly listed in the search engines under your desired keywords, does not mean you are going to automatically get 10,000 hits per day to your website. Following a structured and consistent method of contributing useful information, interacting with blogs, forums, and Social network sites honestly and consistently, having your own blog, writing articles etc will ensure not only short term traffic increase but a long term consistent targeted traffic flow that will steadily grow as you work toward your goals.
