Can you not see the difference between words like "movies" "tv" "porn" versus words like "bakery"?

It seems you thought I was speaking of all 3d names. You have to read the posts I was commenting about.

I have to agree that 3dbakery and such seems a bit clueless. However, if you've watched the news at all you'd see that there are a lot of products coming out in 3d that you wouldn't expect.

For instance, "3d chalk" "3d magazines" those are just 2 that I saw yesterday. 3D chalk? did you expect that one? I didn't.

Yes, just my opinion... but every company out there is probably saying "How do we get into the 3D Market", and they are thinking of getting their product or service in 3D. Would you believe there is a toothpaste that is said to be 3D. I guess your teeth are so white they stand out. It is just the beginning. When I went to Sony to view the 3DTV, they said the same monitor is for computers. NOW, we are going to see websites in 3D, the same as televisions.

ALSO, we are creating a buzz here... they are talking about us saying we are trying to build up 3D names on "Digital Point", the same person also said he has a few 3D Names...

I believe "playstation" is trademark infringement.

lot of talk about trademark ... better put - LOT OF FEAR in tm names..

.. but some names NEED an identifier... 'PLAYSTATION' being the identifier in "3d Play Station Games"
People HAVE to search for that string to find THAT product.
There's nothing you can do about that... people can't search for 'games' and expect playstation games or xbox games.. or mac games...etc...
that's an IDENTIFIER that is NEEDED on the web...

.. as long as the intentions are well, and you're not selling xbox games, or slandering the company - everyone should be fine.
    but that identifier is needed.

I have registered with parent companies to be their affiliate - using their TM names, just like this, and have been approved without a problem.
    * * * EDIT - Apologies * * *

I could have been misinformed but I made a post about this and everyone told me it would put me at risk for a lawsuit to have xbox360 or ps3 in the name

I also have IMAX domains that are reportedly tm infingement that I was advised to drop

This is a public board and no one really wants to go on record and state otherwise...
.. you also have a lot of very conservative domainers who are very afraid of tm names and advise others to drop them to avoid such issues.

... i have made my tm opinions heard in the past on this board, so you can read back on how i feel...
... but i still feel that in a GIANT OCEAN of websites, there is no other way to find, buy or sell your products if they are not identifiable, as this example is.
And even funnier.. have you ever checked the TM names?

did you know '3dtv' is tm'ed?
    .. and 3d video is also tm'ed
    ... how 'bout 3d games?.. ALSO tm'ed

    ... 3d exam, 3d cad, 3d magic, 3d dna, 3d catalog, 3d clinic, 3dmovies..

i'm just barely scratching the surface.. you can go check your self what names are tm'ed
.. if we followed this list, there wouldn't be a single web site out there.

keep in mind, you DO have to read the tm info to see what industry the tm is in and how it applies (product, colors, names, letters..etc..)...
... but the mother of all, "3D" is indeed trademarked.

there is an existing tm for '3D', but this seems to be for the logo itself.

this post might spark some debate as there are some who are very against the act of regging tm names, but if done properly, there should be no problem, imo.
