Even I do agree with that..they perform well in IPL because of the money involved in that..international cricket does not give them anything.. rest depends upon the players..as such how much they love their game and the country, which I feel apart from few players like Sachin and Dravid no onle lese in team has.
Hello to all one thing i want to say i was thinking he is good Captain but the things he done in This T20 world Cup his image is changes in the Media.
I am having no doubt in his captaincy. But he lost the tempo due to continuous matches, which include IPL.
BCCI had taken a wise decision of making Sehwag as the T20 captain of India..He is a straight forward cricket and doesn't play any politics..
3 points why I think Dhoni's captaincy was definitely below the line and NOT good. 1) He's too arrogant to lead the team. Letting Harbajan bowl the first over was a creative idea according to him, but doesn't he know that spinners make better use of an old ball rather than a new one. Going innovative is good, but this was foolish! 2) He's in when money's concerned, out when the team's performance is. A brilliant performance in the money-laden IPL and a worst-than-poor effort in the T20 world cup shows that. 3) Playing Ravindra Jadeja even after knowing his previous poor play against Australia? A foolish act on his behalf, and another example of his ignorance. In the final match of the super 8's, when both India and Pakistan were in a critical position, Pakistan was seen practicing in the fields for their next match against South Africa (and they got the result of their effort, they qualified for the semis); but does anyone know what team India was doing? Dhoni was with his teamresting by the beach side where players were enjoying the sun baths, the girls and the mango juices!! Is that someone who should be allowed to lead the Indian side? I think NO!
these are very valid points.. completely agree with this..I guess its not only Dhoni but most of these youngsters perform only when there is money involved.
Well you can't actually call him a youngster, he's above 25 I think. But still, the question is about his ignorance and his lack of wisdom when leading his team. I think he's unfit to do so any further.
"Youngsters" as everyone says and they call themselves...because they are making a comparison with our legends( Sachin, Dravid, Kumble.....) who all are above 35... One thing which I felt about Dhoni is that he is inclined towards his favourite players..even if they are not in good form or have been performing bad. and he always picks them up..
its not only this T20 world cup but also the last one..and even the first which India won was a mere luck for Dhoni and Joginder Sharma, else Pakistan could have easily won the first one also..
