Suggestion Enable AutoMerge Double Posts Plugin

Enable Auto Merge Double Posts Plug in in DP
It will be a lot more easier for users and mods to do the job well!

In my friends forums they have enabled it so double posts will be merged automatically instantly or within a minute or too depending on settings

Today i posted a thread and gave replies as usual by pressing the Reply and Reply with Quote to various Users in a minute Gap in the thread

Sawz edited the post and done the job well (Thanks Sawz for the beautiful job)

So if you have enabled the Auto Merge Double Posts plugin it will be too usefull for Users and Mods to Works

 

There's a MultiQuote button so you don't have to make back to back posts.

 

@Helvetii: Auto Merge Plugin fro VB let you to post as usual in a click and it automatically merges post and there is no need for multiple selection and moving inbetween the coded i.e quoted lines

 

I have also wondered why that mod is not enabled here. It is very useful, and customizable to even merge the posts together without exposing that fact to others. However, due to the nature of DP, I suspect it would be introduced with the "user added at xx:xx x:" feature..

Something to consider, something I'd recommend.

 

Well in perfect world it would be perfect solution but in DP forum it will take away from Mods
an opportunity to slap you with unnecessary infraction and that is a big NO-NO in here.

That's right! Unnesscary infraction can be avoided due to multiple posting named under spamming!

Why are you so attached to the outcome of this?

I think RightMan is incorrect - I think their lack of response implies nothing. They may have held off responding because they are considering this.

You have to understand that this is a giant forum, as far as forums go. So not only does it require testing to see if it meets the needs and conflicts with other mods and would add unreasonable server load, but Shawn's probably thinking about how he can improve it to suit the needs, etc.

That is, if anything. Who knows. It's interesting to see how hyperactive your minds are getting, and I wonder why you expect the admins to work on your schedule? Let them have their time. Truth be told, they don't even owe you a response, let alone one that fits your expectations of what they should be doing for you.

Especially roopajyothi. Look, this suggestion is no doubt a way to reduce unnecessary moderator work. You did a good thing, but there is no reason to keep bumping this thread asking for updates. They have eyes my friend, and they are aware of this thread.
