I couldn't find anything good on vbulletin.org, I'm looking for a mod of sorts that will prevent users from copy/paste from threads. Anyone know how to pull this off?
I don't know if that even exists... but if some forum did that to me I sure would never visit it again Sounds like a sure way to piss off your users
Well, the reason I need it is that my site is a forum for Locked Out union members, and have a "union members only" area that only verified union members have access to. We recently had a delicate post that was "leaked" to another site, and caused a lot of feathers to be ruffled. I'm trying to prevent this from happening again.
This is not possible in any shape form or fashion with HTML. You would have to deliver things in PDF format to prevent copying and even then they would have the final file, which could still be redistributed. Simply put if you don't want something leaked it can not be rendered to a digital format or written down.
If you stopped capture of text (let's say for the sake of argument), how are you going to stop people from taking a screen capture? Yeah - if you don't want something leaked - don't use the web.
