    If you are serious enough I would recommend you go with your own domain name instead of free blog. You have more control with your own domain / blog instead of free blog provided by Google.

    If you want to do serious business then register your domain or if you want it just for time pass and earn little bit then go for blog. It will save your hosting and domain registration charges.

    yeah. go for own domain than free websites. it happened to me once, i made a website with good traffic and i maintained the blog about 2 years. but one fine day the service provider said - "your website categorized as a SPAM and deleted". see, all of my efforts went in vain because of their stupid bot! anyway this is the lessen, if you are serious about your blog, go for your own.
    this is my experience, and i wish nobody should experience such bitter experience again.
