Basically it's just an easy way to edit your title tag, meta description, and meta keywords in a blog post. Out of the box Wordpress does not come automatically configured to do this.

I would suggest getting a good base of content going on your blog before worrying about directory links to make sure there is something there to link to and visit. Good luck on the blog.

 

@GraphicDesignGuy - I checked out your non-profits site. I've def never heard of a driver monitoring service... I'm glad my parents didn't know about this when I was 16.

Yeah, like I said, you're site is brand new still so you don't have too much to worry about from a rankings loss standpoint. One additional thing I thought of is that if you have any good links from other non-profits or government groups you will want to remind them to update their links to your site.

@Akki123 PR3 dofollow VS PR5 nofollow.... Can I take them both?

Like @OctanMedia stated a nofollow attribute won't pass any link value onto your site. I would usually pick a PR3 dofollow.

@Pushilin - I'm not sure what the best services are honestly. Here are a couple programs I recommend using to help automate things (just search these in Google):

- Comment Kahuna - For Blog Comment Spam

@Rekhna - Honestly, the basics of good SEO have remained pretty much the same for years now. Do solid on-page SEO, build backlinks, churn out a lot of content and rank. That's pretty much it.
I think the newest techniques would have to be using things like video and photos to rank in search engines. Also, people are starting to take a much more wholelistic approach to search engine optimization as a whole. Elements of user experience and copy writing are also being taken into account. Hope that helps.

i think it is the fast method to improve your ranking on search engine specially with google because googgle use following algo

Where:

PR(A) is the PageRank of your page A.
d is the damping factor, usually set to 0,85.
PR(I->A) is the PageRank of page I containing a link to page A.
C(I) is the number of links off page I.
PR(I->A)/C(I) is a PR-value page A receives from page I.
SUM (PR(I->A)/C(I)) is the sum of all PR-values page A receives from pages with links to page A..

Nice! I see that if SE rank our site on many factors. HOw the effect of the link if our site has unique content because of rewrite again and again by wp plugin?

 

@Pushlin - I'm glad you found those links useful. Comment Kahuna is free so def check that one out. I've heard SENuke is good for automated link building as well, but I've never used it so I can't personally recommend it. I've just heard good things.

To get links from blogs, there are a couple techniques that have worked pretty well for me:
1.) Write a guest post for the blog and get a link back to your site in the signature.
2.) Offer a blogger 5, 10, 15, 20 bucks to write an relevant article with a link back to your site. You'd be surprised how cheap you can get backlinks from some high authority blogs with this strategy. Much, much cheaper than Text Link Ads and they'll be permanent when you work through a blogger.

 

@JamesWebSmith Definitely some food for thought with this formula. The crazy thing is that although Google's algo is extremely complex now (something like over 200 ranking factors was the last I heard) But there are still basically two main ranking components that have remained constant for years now: get the on-page stuff done, then get a bunch of links.

@bruce_robart - Honestly the on-page SEO stuff has remained pretty much the same for the last few years now. Unfortunately I don't know of any secret on-page SEO strategy that will allow your site to dominate the competition in every niche. I think SEO as a whole is becoming more of a general marketing skill set. Instead of figuring out how to game Google, more focus and energy is being put into developing kick-ass content for a website that people will actually use, link to, and tell their friends about.

I hope you can help me. I read somewhere on the forum that reciprocal links are only effective if they link to your niche, and have an equal to, or higher Pagerank, otherwise the other website will get all the link juice. Is this correct? If so, how do we know this?
