    Yeah, no doubt...

Now you need to optimize your site for speed, but I think we all new this was going to happen.

Actually it was already happening, Google just made it official..

For example, if a site were to take longer than 5 seconds to load, I wasn't going to wait for it. So, why would Google want to wait for it too?

With that being said, I optimized my pages to load in under a second.

yeah - i don't think anyone would want to view a page that takes over 5 seconds to load these days - and if you can optimize your page, then you probably should... now there's encouragement to do so

It represent < 1 % of search queries and is applicable only on google.com
I agree with this factor. Also for me the speed of a site is important.

Google webmaster sees that my site is loading under 3seconds (sometimes even under 2) so I don`t think I`ll have any problem with this. You just need a good host and some site optimization/image compression

The speed factor could effect your ranking only if your hosting or server not stable enough and had a too long down time. However, this is not a major factor and others more important ones are standing still - Quality Backlinks / Quality content with regular updated / Domain age / Content Age / Link age / etc.

Mmhh... that is the new rules.

I like to use wp-cache. But sometimes wp-cache can also give a lot of headache even thought it gives speed in loading my site.

For the example if I change stuff in my site, with wp-cache, it will not change instantly, you have to wait for 5 minutes at least to sink in and see the updated version. Thx for the information.

Site speed will work as a cofactor for SE to index your site.

This is great info. It's a good thing I never had this problem yet.
