    Raj,

I prefer to use a third party system. Particularly if you're buying pay per click. I would recommend Statcounter.

I use both google Analytics and statcounter and I love statcounter, the information is more accurate and it updates immediately (real time stats). Statcounter also allows you to block your own IP address so your hits to your site don't show. It is free to join but has limited space capacity, I don't know what that means right now but I will be upgrading my service.

    I would highly recommend statcounter.

If you have big traffic on ur siter definitely u need to upgrading ur service at statcounter.

But for small site with 100 log size i think already cool to track your visitors, with the free one.

Thanks for your response, I have been reading about the 100 log size but I don't know what that means. Is 100 unique visits, 100 pages, log size

Thanks anyway, as soon as I have more time I will investigate.

    Cheers, :)

Only problem with Google Analytics is that it won't show the exact URL of a referral...just the domain. Hopefully they'll change this soon. But yeah, +1 for Google.

You should use google analytics, but also combine their data to AWStats.

I use both Google Analytics (I don't really know how to read it, though) and Next Gen Stats.

I really love Next Gen Stats and would highly recommend it.

I use Google Analytics, cuz its free and lots of features like you can allow your partmer to see a website stats without disturbing other websites where your partner doesnot work.

And also features like the funnel and Geo map for free makes it damn damn cool!
