How to increase website hits from 300 to 1000 per day

Hello all,
my website is getting only 300 hits per day. It has 400+ pages and 5 google sitelinks. It's google page rank is 2. Can u suggest some idea on back link building?

How old is your website ? If its new then 300 hundred 'unique' visitors a day is a good number. Also check in your stat where do you get these 300 visitors from ? If its from google search, forums or social networking sites, then try to put in more effort in what you have been doing till now.
