I just create http://www.freerapidsharemegaupload.com and I am currently working to make it more attractive. It is a legit site but most of these types of sites are scams and I want to make it seem like a website you can trust. I don't want to add testimonials because it is lame. What should I do?
One way to make your website look more legit is to display your company phone number (ideally in the banner). If you don't have a company phone number then you could set up a skype account and have those details listed. This will give the users the impression that your website is more trust-worthy because they communicate with an actual person and not a machine.
If you want to look more professional, I suggest that you work on your footer for when your visitors get there. It doesn't look like you are using Wordpress there so you will have to do this manually. Simply goto any authoritative site that has the same set of footer links and try to copy them. Additionally, you can add some validation marker to send that sense of confidence to your visitors. Just google "W3C Markup Validation Service". (Sorry I cannot post links yet) Good luck and let us know if these ideas help!
Thanks for all your responses. I am currently designing the website's logo. I had a mediocre logo there before but I removed it because it was unattractive. I will consider adding a contact us icon with a skype number.
I'm in agreement with Robico on displaying a company phone number. If you cannot put it in the header, then put it in your footer and where your contact info is located, as well. I also suggest putting in a company address (contact area), even if it's a p.o. box number, or whatever is appropriate for your location. And to speak on your decision not to add testimonials, I disagree because the testimonial provides social proof and adds credibility, if done correctly. People buy more based on a referral - that's why word-of-mouth referrals are still the #1 way to market your business. People buy more (or less) based on what someone else' experience had been with a company, their products, or their services. Any old testimonial will not do because the strategy has been abused, but if you can gather a few real testimonials from those who have had a genuine good experience with your product/service, and they give you permission to use their full name, their general location (city, state), and their contact info in your promotions, this will help greatly in boosting your site's credibility.
I only go for testimonials that give first/last names and the websites or email addresses of the persons giving the testimony.
Yes, you do need to get a good logo on your website. Also, work on the footer and add links down at the bottom. Links like contact us again, about us etc. Also, you need to fix this page> http://www.freerapidsharemegaupload.com/points.php < When you try and signup, it doesn't show the links at the top anymore
Same old script and same old template.Mate get yourself a new template. There are 100's of site using exactly same stuff.
digitalbit thanks for pointing me this mistake. I just fixed the page. William I am in fact creating a reworked version of the script but it will take about a month before it is finished
