September Google updates ?

    I have read here
about an IBL update for this 72.14.221.104 datacenter.
May it be an update or a test before the update ?
If so, it can be followed by a PR update too, right ?

    What do you think ?

It doesnt seem to be a test, this time it seems that data finally exported
Although all the datacenters are not updated with this export.
Google was doing backlink test for last 1 month

(I know because I was kept getting backlink alerts from my monitoring tools, it kept telling me that my site got 55 links in google but whenever I checked google was showing 0 bls, and few hours later it kept to roll back..) but this time It is steady and even google.com is showing updated BLs.
(Funniest thing is, because of this tool, I knew how many BLs my site is going to get in google about a month before the actual update..Future Backlinks.. LOL)

    I think so....

I usually hate these threads, but I do see some backlinks to a previously 0 BL site.

    So what's the difference between>>

LINK:mydomain (no space after the : ) and LINK: mydomain (with a space after the : )

I get the same kind of result as Tearabite.

    My understanding is:

link:mydomain.com shows the number of links that google report as backlinks, not of course the real number of links but just a sample. But it does only return actual real links.

link: mydomain.com is a simple text search like any other query on google, for pages including the text 'link' and the text 'mydomainname.com'. This also is not the real number of links, because it will not include links where the anchor text is different to the site name, and will include nofollow links etc.

    Hope that's right.

I was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes for links to your website to show up through searching "link:mydomain.com"? Thanks

when you do LINK: mydomain it searches for the two keywords. LINK:mydomain is the right way

I have recently tested this with one my blog reciprocal links exchange. Google took atleast 3 months to show my backlinks but still not all. however, other search engines are show tons of them

But with my new website I was quite impressed to see google showing me backlinks just after couple of weeks of launching. I was very excited and thought to publish an article on getting top search engine listing. I have tried to focus more on forcing search engines to crawl new websites more often.

I hope it helps community in this forum.
