Does the font you use effect the seo of your site?

I think I have been using fonts and even colors on different pages of my site on accident but before I change them all to the same color and font throughout the website what is the best font and color to use for seo purposes? or does it not even matter?

I believe font color doesn't have any SEO value. Your site's accessibility depends on colors. So choose it wisely site wide. Don't use too much color combinations.

No. I believe font face also doesn't have any kind of SEO value. But I believe Font Size matters. don't use very small font size as google can get negative signal. Because Spammers use font size to hide keywords from visitors but present it to search engines. font color is another way to keyword spamming using same color for background and foreground color. Never use such techniques. Google and other search engines now a days got much smarter :)

Be super careful not to use a font color that is similar to the site background color. For example stay away from dark grey text on a light grey background. Not only is this hard for visitors to read but you could be in danger of black hat practices. Also be careful of gradient backgrounds. My team once built a site with a white to black gradient background, we very carefully placed black text over the white part of the gradient and white text over the black part of the gradient. All text was very legible and frankly the site looked beautiful... BUT when Google crawled the site the code was translated as white text/white background and black text/ black background- we got banned and it took some time to recover. For font styles Sumanhalder is correct, it does not matter much- but to build so the site looks good on all kinds of weird browser configurations
( IE6, Firefox etc.) it is best to keep it simple, Arial, Helvetica, Times are always safe-- but you probably knew this.

    Best wishes.
