    Hey all,

I want to create new account in http://www.hotmail.com . you know there is difference between http://www.live.com register page and http://www.hotmail.com login page. in live.com i only can select @hotmail.com but in hotmail.com i can select hotmail and live for my email account. i want to know which extention (@live and @hotmail) is better for a personal account?

    Thanks,
    Alireza

I think @msn.com is still available (could be wrong) witch is the same as these, but the shortest.

If I were you I would go for either live.com or msn.com. They both are shorter and easier to remember.

I'd go with hotmail because it's more well known. If we're talking professional sounding you're not going to use a microsoft email. You'd go gmail or one on your own domain.

I would go with @live.com as it looks more professional than @hotmail.com

It is shorter than hotmail too.

Also once you create it, you can go to hotmail.com and login with your @live.com account.

Another reason could be that the ID you want is already taken on hotmail.com. If that is the case, then again you would go with live.com

Hotmail is more recognised worldwide, we have hotmail.co.uk in the uk, and obviously hotmail.com for us etc, I would use hotmail, brand awareness!
