I recently turned one of my old domains http://www.xenyo.com into a pretty standard internet marketing site with tools and forums etc. basically in preparation for some tools I am developing for webmasters. Anyways, for this I brought quite a few links to it in a short space of time. Last update the domain was PR1 with minimal links. Now the backlinks are Google 107 MSN 4,465 Yahoo 347 There are links from memory a couple of PR8 homepages, a few PR7s and loads of PR6,5,4s etc. IwebTools predicts PR6 .. what do you guys think ... lets make this a prediction game and see in October. Or will it all end in tears and Google penalises me for getting BLs too quickly, whose to know.... The domain is over 2.8 years old ... Let me start with a PR5 ..
hmmm... can do I suppose ..... There will be a few winners though as its only 0-10 lol.... Maybe 3 month homepage link on Xenyo or something ... or half year featured on its directory which I am building. But how to choose the winner?
Random seems a bit contraversial... PR7, that would make me happy... Although ... a couple of weeks ago when Google did a quick update, I saw it go to PR7 on my toolbar... dunno if that means anything. I think it'll be PR7 too if the PR8s registers but they are only a month old abouts....You can find which sites they are on one of the backlink links above....(bar Googles of course) Disclaimer for PR naysayers: I know that PR doesnt mean much and this is just for a bit of fun to pass the time. It does however directly affect how much I can get selling links from the site during the next 3 months after the update for this site.
Probably going to be a pr4, some of those pages are not passing pr. The high pr links are a bit too obvious.
It's like having a wager 'on a horse with 3 legs' the other leg is G and we don't know the algorithm. I will go for PR4
What pages aren't passing PR? Bear in mind that most of the pages are new and this game is bsed on the PR of the homepage. If you mean for the links, then which ones do you mean? the high PR links being obvious - Question is, whether Google's penalty of sudden quick linkage affects PR or not...... I am betting it doesnt and it just affects SERPs ... hence I am betting PR5 Thanks for the comments. Matt
Results so far PR7 - 1 PR6 - 1 PR5 - 3 PR4 - 4 ______ 9 Avg PR = 4.9 Lets see how accurate the DP Predicting tool is , hehe If you are interested in the basis of this SEO experiment your can see it on the link.
when is the next PR update? and does it happen pretty much all at once or is it taking a week, month?
It will be PR5, it seems that you have to be PR5 before you can go higher. But apprently PR doesn't matter since it is dynamic and not static.
