You are not denying people from advertising on your site. You are simply taking off the advertising for advertising on your site. If your CPM was terrible, it was probably because your click through was worse. Or if your CTR stayed the same, the CPM went up for other reasons.
This is pretty much the answer... the CPM rate that you can get with Advertise on this site sometimes is beyond ridiculuous.... your much better off with a 1% CTR rate lol
Why does everyone think that CPM ads are tied into that little text? If AdSense thinks a certain CPM ad will pay you MORE then they will show that, because then they'll also make more THEMSELVES. That has nothing to do with that text. So cut the crap already.
Give me ONE good reason why AdSense would implement a system like that, then you can use all the sarcasm you want.
How good for you. And if you were as smart as you pretend you are you should realize that this could have been due to other factors.
I haven't noticed any difference in payment or clicks since I've taken off the "advertise on this site" link. The only time I've seen it change is when I've made other changes, such as placements, colors and so on.
I was only sharing with others why I removed it, I wasn't making a statement. It's not my problem that you can't read buddy boy.
So either there's only crap coming out of your mouth or these two statements are actually related. You say "removed the text and cpm went up", then you are implying that both are related. Every child can see that, buddy boy.
Heinz, please finish your English reading classes first, because what are you going to reply one day when someone says that it stopped raining after he opened his umbrella, that he thinks (or should I say "implied") that opening an umbrella stops the rain from falling down?
I have unclicked it today and will now wait to see the change I personally didn't like the 'Advertise on this site' due to potential advertisers going to Google when they thought they could be signing up with my site. The fact that Google does not disclose who signs up on your site is a flaw and therefore a further reason as to why I want to remove it. Before I tried to remove it, but had no idea it may take 2 days for it to be removed. Lets see the difference Cheers TB
Well I am not sure whether it has made any difference however I strangely enough had high paying clickthrus yesterday. Sunday's are normally quiet and was amazed to see some of the high paying single clicks
"advertise on the site" is good for forum or blog Reason : Just imagine your forum or blog have 2000 visitors and each visitor read 20 thread. That mean your site will have 2000x20 PI. If cpm=$0.50, you can earn $100 daily. http://uv.bidtool.overture.com/d/search/tools/bidtool/index.jhtml "advertise on the site" not good for any site which have high paying keyword. Reason : Earning from CPC is better than CPM because webmaster can earn up to $5 per click ( sometime even more and fully depend on site nature and keyword ).
It's amazing to me how many people don't understand what this is all about. The 'advertise on this site' is simply a link put into your advertising block. If you take that link out, you are not stopping people from advertising on your site. They simply won't see that option on your site. If they go to adwords, they will still have the option of doing so. People take the link out so that it will blend better. That's it.
