Hi, To add some content to my blog, I want to start uploading some Youtube videos to my blog. The videos will also contain about one paragraph of comments from me to help with SEO. My question is how many per day is too much? I was thinking of posting 5 or 10 videos per day, but will Google think its spam and remove my blog from Google? Any thoughts?
There is no exact number how much is too much. You should do it regularly. If you add one video a day for 3 months and then you add 1,000 videos in single day it may lead to drop in the SERPs (but for limited time only). If you add hundreds of videos day by day it is no problem for google. Simply do it regularly and you will see the results.
Are you making these videos yourself? I would think about building out a YouTube Channel and set up subscriptions if you are trying to get a following. If you want to drive traffic to your site, I would add a little more than one paragraph of comments to your post. You want people to keep coming back right? Try to drive a conversation with the video, otherwise, why would I go to your site when I could just search for the videos I want on YouTube or other video sharing site? Don't get me wrong, I love video on blogs! I think they become much more engaging.
Yeah, I'd just do it regularily. If you decide to make your own make sure you subscribe to my video project; http://youtube.com/user/outsourcerabbit
Web marketing needs to be done slowly, and consistently. No point in adding 5 to 10 videos everyday. You would be better off adding just 3 videos every WEEK but doing it consistently for 5 months. Then look at the results. Be willing to work slow for a LONGER period rather than INTENSELY for a very short span of time and expect overnight results.
I am going to check out your channel. I may use some of your videos on my site... Video marketing is one of my weak points...
