Simple trick to get cheap adwords at 5 cents and get 7/10 quailty score

This is old news I am sure to all, but I had designed an ad 200x200 px and ran my ad at $3.00 per day and set my max click cost at .05 cents. My CTR is 2% and it's costing me little. It takes longer than word ads, but it is driving high quality customers to the site.

I just thought I would share.

Does that mean you are only showing image ads in your campaign and nothing else? What about the fact that you will have duplicate keywords in your search campaigns?

Incorrect. You can do both text and image ads.

Haha i should have worded that differently, you can only do pictures on the Content Network - NOT on the Regular Google Search Listings. (Sure this is true, as Ive never seen a picture ad on the SERPs).

    Thanks!

Must be the content network because search is only text ads. Content network has potential but you really don't know where your ads are showing up. There is an option to pick and choose the sites you want to run your image ads on. I haven't had much success. I stick to search network with desktop computers only.

Me too. I seem to get nothing but worthless clicks when allowing the content network. Choosing Google search on desktop computers only seems to give the best quality of clicks.

I thought you might have worded it wrong.

As for pictures with your text ad in Google's search engine, you can. It's called product extensions. Haven't used this feature yet so I'm not up to par on it but it is possible and I've seen them.

I am not quite sure I get it.
Your just running a massive long tail keyword list with a banner, rather than a text ad?

The content image ads usually take longer for approval but once approved you can expect very low cost for images ads (of course except for the highly competitive niche areas)

Image ads are a great way to get low CPC. The reason that i have found is quite simple, supply and demand. Adwords has alot of inventory for image ad space on there content network, but not alot of people that are willing or have the capacity to design 1 image ad in 4-6 diffrent size formats. It takes alot of work, but the pay off can be pretty good. FYI if anyone needs it here is link to google image ad specs http://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/static.py?hl=en&page=imagesamples.html

Your best bet is to go with a transparent background image ad in odd sizes. 300x250, 336x280 or any of the "new" sizes because the old ones that have been around for 15 years people associate with ads right off the bat and ignore.. 120x240, 250x250 etc....

    Good luck
