    Hi
it varies, it just depends on when Google's spider will visit your site. you can certainly speed that up by submitting it to Google via their submission form, and social bookmarking your site, and adding some links somewhere. this all increases the chances of the spider getting to your site sooner.

but yes it should be quicker than 2 weeks for sure. that doesn't mean it will start to show high in the results, but it should at least be in their database sooner than that.

It is utterly depends on how we initiate the promotional work for that site.

It is solyle depends on link popularity for first time index with Google. You cannot just submit url to Google and waiting but you have to find inbound links to your website to help them get indexed much faster.

If you have a great article at ezinearticles or some other authority site, you should be indexed quickly. I've seen indexing done in less than 24 hours, and in some cases, it takes weeks.
Use Onlywire dot com to get some social bookmarks to the website. If you have similar links on squidoo or you can find someone with a related site that has Link Plexo turned on, you can just add your link there too. Lots of options are available to get indexed.

All the best with your project.

Submit your site to google, yahoo, bing search engine.

Create xml sitemap for your site and submit to google webmaster tools, find the indexing crawling errors of your web page..

It all depends on the effort you put in to make your site visible. Having back links from high trafficked sites such a s 'digg' and 'DP' would surely hurry up this process... a lot more! :)

It depends upon what you take first step as submission to search engines, like if you submit it to search engine then it will only show after days. but if you submit it to social networks google will index it within hours.
