Excuse me if I am asking a very simple question over here. How many times google site map should be updated in a week? How many lines google can crawl? Is there any option to judge that how many clicks generated through Google site map?
"updation" I LOVE IT! That has got to be the word of the day! Let's talk updation folks. Sorry Selly, but I really enjoyed seeing that word. I'll green rep you just for the hell of it. (and unfortunately I don't have an answer to your question)
I don't know how often it should be updated, I been regenerating mine pretty frequently though (every few days), the last few days google has hit about 200,000 URLs. Google can hit several hundred thousand URLs in a day if it wants to... other days it crawls 50. You just never know, I don't see any pattern to it really. I don't get the clicks generated through the sitemap question, because if it's an XML sitemap, or URL list, it's not really clickable. I doubt any users click links out of the XML or URL list sitemaps.
Until you said it I don't believe it existed. I could be wrong though. Hey I wasn't complaining, I even gave you green rep. It just gave me a chuckle. It's been a good day, and I like the way the word sounded.
I know, I know. Belive me I asked a serious question with a expectation of serious answers and I didn't expect a reply like that. But it was funny. Anyway I started linking DP. It's really a lively interactive place. thanks guys.
"updation" doesn't exist according to www.m-w.com but I do like the word, we should submit it! Selly if I'm not mistaken you can login your google sitemap control panel and view the last time your sitemap was read by Google. Can you not?
Yea I can do that. But I want the exact number of clicks generate through google search engines. Is that possible?
Possible either through your statistics package included with your hosting (avoid webalizer, AWStats is ok) or you could install something like Google Analytics on your site. The most reliable method though is to download your server logs and run them through some analytics software that you trust.
Greetings guys , yep , Awstats would be more better .. I am using it from long time. About Google Analytics , used frequently . but no worries as google product Kyle, http://blog.sgugal.com
