Hello everyone, Suppose I have $90 to invest into some form of making money online, what would you most recommend? I know i can't get a return of $1000's out of it but if I can invest in something that'll get the ball rolling so that I can keep investing and slowly build up on it, it would be ideal. I'd be more than happy to do my fair share of hard work as long as the investment doesn't go to waste. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.
$90 isn't much as you mentioned. It's good for some domains and hiring someone from the Services forum in the BST.
take the $90 and invest in a domain name and hosting. Then get an account at aweber. Create a squeeze page on your new website and start collecting emails.
Use the $90, Go To Scriptlance, and higher a Developer to build a website. Link to an high payment product affiliate site (choose sometheing from ads4cash or something like that), and market it in this forum, and across the web. You will surely turn that $90 in to $1000's if done correctly.
I'd say aside from buying a domain and hosting (assuming you don't already have these) then find a good writer and get some articles outsourced. You can find writers who will give you some nice articles for $5 a piece. Just make sure you do good keyword research before giving them the keywords to center the articles around and then you do some backlinking when they have been submitted. If done right, the articles will be bringing you sales for quite some time.
Pick a niche that is profitable and you enjoy. $10 get a blog with your own domain at Wordpress.com or Blogger. No sense paying for hosting if you don't need it. $0 get a MailChimp account and make it easy for people to sign up to get your new posts by email. $50 Get someone to write some really good content for you to help launch the site. $0 Get a twitter account and set it to automatically post one tweet each day with a quote about your niche. Recycle the quotes every 90 days. $0 Get a facebook account and set it to display your twitter and blog content. Once you get to 100 page views per day, add adsense. Once you get 100 email subscribers start sending links to affiliate items in the outgoing emails. Until you get to these numbers, keep churning out good content.
If you don't really care about your reputation, get some domains and set up few autoblogs, then monetize from it
Buy a startup website, make it grow by adding content, ect and when it will have good PR, good popularity, sell it for 1k$! However it will be a lot of work.
Depending on what your marketing strategy is, you might consider having some content written or buying one or a few good aged domains. Aged domains can get ranked far easier than brand new ones! Simon
I'd recommend one of two things: Invest in Chris Farrell's affiliate marketing program for newbies or... Get a Google Adsense account and sign up for Info Barrel and start writing articles.
Do you have skill, like writing, graphics, programming? I don't think you need to spend it all, just maybe a bit for a domain name and hosting. After that there are countless ways to make money. Selling your own product/service (here at DP), creating a site to flip, etc... Maybe one thing would be to pay someone to write good articles for you, then flip the blog or sell the articles with private label rights. (PLR) Joel
good and rlevent content is the best you can invest into to manifold your capital if you plan to invest in a website..good luck
SKip out on adding Adsense is you expect your $90 to really make an impact and bring some profit in. Instead, consider what niche you are intrigued and interested in and try to pick one that you can write your own content for, in order to save even more money. Then set up your site through wordpress or hire someone to do so for a few dollars and apply to an affiliate network. By doing so, you are still going to have money left over to start out and use it towards promotion, and each sale with the right network could double that income that you started with. It would take far too long to actually create profit from adsense if you only have $90 to invest. WIth an affiliate network that offers high pay outs, you can bring more income in at a faster pace.
Wow! I thought you would get a lot of advice and I was right. Perhaps you want to invest in yourself first....but it does take a special person to do that. Are you that person? You see, investment is self is not often touted these days, and yet, it is one of the surest ways to put your money to good use. Sometimes, just that little bit of knowledge or self-revelation can change your life forever. Put it this way. School education will make you a living, but SELF-EDUCATION will make you a fortune! Invest in yourself, whether through a good book, a course, a webinar, or a program that just resonates with your inner being. But whatever you do, I wish you the best. coluden
First of all thanks for the feedback everyone. For the people who suggested buying a product on IM, I can safely say I know the ropes with affiliate marketing and other forms and have personally tested quite a few techniques. I have decided I will go with picking a single product with a squeeze page and email marketing and see where it goes from there. I have a few more doubts: - troupe mentioned mailchimp, I was thinking of using aweber but apparently mailchimp is a free alternative (well for the first 500 subscribers atleast). Is mailchimp as feature rich and effective as aweber? - one more question, when I create my landing page, apart from a squeeze page do I need to have a few articles on the topic on that domain? Maybe a review and some tips, or can I just directly market a product via email? Thanks again everyone.
