Here is my mockup, I didn't apply the style to all elements, for sure at the end it will be to all elements of the website.

heres my black version... and by the way, i fixed the width of the site,as it goes wide in the most common use resolution which is 1024x768, as you see, it does not have a vertical scroll bar .. hope you like this

 

Here is my idea... I have to redo the whole logo... I can definitely code this inside a css... Had to resize this to 80% so it fits the forum preview...

It's just a design but I can code everything if you decide to pick mine. All the blocks will look as the one created. Anything that you want can be changed

BTW, just to explain to all the designers that participated why I chose imdoogz' site as top winner...

...what I wanted was a design that looks completely different from news.iphoneworld.ca current design. This included actual fonts, colours of fonts, images, etc..... used. And imdoogz managed to make the site look RADICALLY different from its current self. This is why his entry was chosen. (and yes, it did help that he used a different "vote" image).

In a lot of other ones it was easy to see the current template (whether it's the fonts colour, same header image, or something else), while imdoogz made his entry completely different from the original.

killerdesign was a great second place runner, but he reused the same fonts too much to be in first place (once again, the idea was that I was trying to get a design that doesn't look like the current one).

But all of y'all did a great job as well, thank you very much and good luck for next contests.

Okay, just an update:

imdoggz gave an excellent service with set up and tweaking the .css to my final liking.

You can see the results at http://news.iphoneworld.ca and imdoggz can proudly say he was the one that coded it.

Payment was sent to imdoggz.

Positive iTrader left.

Am looking forward to work with you again soon mate!

Only awaiting a slight fix for two minor issues in .css from him to leave him a positive itrader.

Great response time and design skills overall.

 

I have to let you know the mapping of your navigation area is a bit off when viewed in FF... Clicking the right image goes to the wrong link...

 

yeah he add additions on the link of that.. and he said he will just configure the maping after the new link page would be done thanks for your concern about it
