but that's the thing...it looks overly stupid and I think it was meant to be over the top stupid/"funny". I never saw it but I am not surprised it wasn't very good...did you think it was going to be???
Naaaaaaahhhhh! Anger management is guud! Adam Sandler is one of the few funny guys out there. And Jack Nicholson was quite good on that film
It is just the same as any other Adam Sandler, same story with different background.. the only fun part is woody harrelson dress up as transexal whore...i can't believe he did that
I like Chris Elliot, don't get me wrong. In fact I was on a flight heading out of NYC back in 2001 and sat next to him on the plane. Was not very pleasant in person. The movie sucked balls.. Sorry. The first "Speed" sucked too. Thank you for reminding me. I enjoyed the Jurassic movies. Wound not say, GREATEST of all time, but not horrible. The Rocky movies are just cult classics... Again, not the greatest, but certainly not the worst. I did forget to mention the final editon of "Star Wars". Now that moved up to my number 2 spot of all time sucky movies.
I think the movie was supposed to be quite intentionally bad. On that note, I have to give them credit for doing such a good job at that. The movie remined me of the "Plan 9 From Outerspace" flick by that B Grade director whose name escapes me at the moment....
You are not hearing me!!!!!...go back and look...I was KIDDING about Cabin Boy and the Rocky 1-4 is fine but there comes a point where I think you should put it to bed, see number 5?? and you can't tell me that Jurassic 2,3 was worth the film it was printed on. and I think Chris Elliot is a tool
I nominate Far From Heaven. It got all kinds of Oscar hoopla, and I may be the only one - but I thought it was a disaster. Dennis Quaid was woefully ill-cast as a 50's husband coming out of the closet, and the relationship between he and Julianne Moore's character was non-existent at best. The story was lame, awkwardly spun and at the end of the day, I could care less about either. It tried for "importance" and achieved sub-mediocrity. The only bright spot was Dennis Haysbert. Haysbert's work displays a quiet dignity and strength, a nice characterization. The man doesn't get enough work, in my opinion. There are lots of others, but this sticks in my mind. Oh, and regarding the post above this - agreed. Chris Elliot needs to go into real estate, or watching Letterman reruns, or whatever. Get thee off the celluloid.
My apologies, I did not sense the sarcasm the first time. There's another Rocky coming... Personally, (and I have my reasons), if there were 100 Rockies, I would love every one of them. They were not that bad. That TV show he did, now that was funny... That and his part in "There's Something about Mary." Iggy was it? I love the slow progression of boils on his neck and head and face throughout the movie. Hillarious!
mars attacks tried way too hard the speed movies sucked, I think all those movies are medicore, definitly not good but far from the worst Ronin, and Heist sucked too. Robert Deniro definitly went way down hill what about Cat Woman? so bad I actually kind of liked it
that's ok, it's easy to miss sarcasm! yeah, I listed the JP's as a point that some sequels just don't hold water(Speed 2 -possibly the worst sequel of all time?), maybe I was just expecting more in a sequel as reputable as the original JP...there were a couple points in JP2 I think that were just so completely retarded though...like when they brought the bloodied injured dino into the bus???? and stuff like that. y, Elliot was just as annoying on an already weak SNL cast when he was on there. doesn't surprise me he's a jackass in person! uhhhhhhhhhh, not funny!
I would say the Star Wars trilogy (prequels) qualify as the worst "sequels" of all time.... BTW, he was not a jackass in person.. Just not very personable. Quiet, uptight, wearing a three piece suit. Kinda snub... Not funny in the least. It was like talking to a dry walnut.
you didn't like Jar-jar??? I forgot about those abominations!! sorry, didn't mean to twist your words with Mr. Walnut i'm sure a lot of 'celebs' are like that
Actually Jar Jar was about the only thing I did like. It was Natalie, (I should have been a porn actress) Portman and her horrible performance that I could not stand. That and all the sappy moments... It was too dramatic. Not enough action. WAY too much CGI. Some are, some are not. I remember back in the 80's I was bussing tables at the Former PlayBoy club in Geneva and was filling Eddie Van Halen's water glass. He asks me to sit down. So there I sat with Eddie and Valerie. The next day, got to see Valerie's boobies while working at the pool bar. I could tell numerous stories about the fun at I had with bands like Enuff z Nuff or Skid Row, to name a few. The rock and roll crowd always seems to be a bit more personable. Actors, actresses, are another story. Take Martin Sheen. Was waiting for a plane next to him at O'hare a number of years ago. Again, 3 piece suit, brief case even. Very nice guy. Well dressed, well kept, and very friendly. He's a lunatic in public when he is on a cause, but you catch him hanging out by himself? Nice guy. Sat next to Heather Lockleer at a Motley Crue concert when she was married to Tommy. Had my girlfriend Heather at the time on the right and Heater Lockleer on the left. Again, another very nice person. Very easy going, down to earth. About the only celeb I have met, and there have been a lot, I can say that I truly think epitomizes the word assh%le. Reggie Jackson. I do a lot of business with CDW and as a result got invited by my rep at the time to come down and see Reggie. I am not big on autographs. I could care less about them frankly, and rarely if ever ask for one. (Though you know I have a Heather Lockleer autograph) Anyway, I asked Reggie if I could get an autograph for my mom whose from the Bronx and loves the Yanks. They guy was a total dick head about it and told me to buzz off. I wish we were a larger customer of CDW's because I would have had Reginald tossed out on his fat rear that day. What a jerk. Washed up has been of a mediocre ball player anyway.
http://www.the-numbers.com/movies/records/budgets.php Napleon Dynamite and Blair witch are some of the most profitable movies ever based on investment If you look at the biggest money losers there are some real gems in there
And that my friend is the point. I could not agree more with all that you said if I were standing next to you.
I like movies that are so bad...., they're good. (as in funny) Theres a movie called 'Disco Godfather' , from the '70s. OMG Also like the MST3K stuff: eegah, red zone cuba, etc. Probably the worst movie of all time is (Manos: the Hands of Fate).
