Only thing you have proven is that you do not believe in principal, charity, seo, or reading. The only pleasure you get is talking about money, which you have not convinced anyone on. I think you will see a lot more people pressing the triangle for reports infractions and violations, because harassment and mockery are you only strengths. Quit sending me threatening and nasty emails. Whois gives your address so it is not very smart. Plus they can have your domain host pull your website for posting threatening messages and violation provisions of the 1990 FEDERAL law of violating the Disability Law Act.

Frankly I wouldn't trust my money with any person who gets into silly, childish and pointless arguments, no matter how skilled they claim to be.

 

BusinessCoach, not to get into your arguments, but i would ask you one question, you say through viral marketing you can get traffic to your clients websites, right, having gone through your website i could make out that you do social media campaigns, have you ever thought how much of those traffic converts. In my opinion, when a guy searches for "cheap jewellery" his/her intention is to check out the rates of the jewellery as well as rap it up if they find something interesting within their budget. Social media can get you traffic from interested persons (if they are interested-have no method to find that out though) and you might get loads of traffic but their conversion rates are very much dismal. Social media can be part of SEO which is a bigger game in itself, both can go hand in hand together, one cannot survive without the help of other in my opinion, but if you say you can just survive with viral marketing, well time only will tell. We have sites/stories which were dug into frontpage of digg and traffic even surpassed their bandwidth allocation for a month in 3 days, but earnings just went up by 12% which actually is nothing great and a waste of time and resources.

Cash:
Excellent viewpoint, and analysis. In 2010, you can do it only using one, but a combination only when done properly can be very rewarding. Only an open minded person, constantly adapting to change will survive and be well rewarded. SEO is king, UNLESS you can adapt. Cash has clearly illustrated that he can, yet even then needs to make tuneups. If I still needed to make money, I would strongly heed his advice. Listening is a far betting quality than betting money.

PLUS, he does not bash others in his signature line. I might become one of his customers, I like his style and honesty.

Be careful disagreeing with Business Coach people. He becomes abusive sends threatening PM's and starts threads intended to harrass other members just because they disagree with him and he tries to wriggle his way out of challenges by twisting things to an agenda only he understands.

Best avoided and ignored IMHO as I have him on my ignore list so I don't have to read his abuse and harrassment and outright aggressive un business like approach to things.

 

I'd like to encourage all SEO folk and do the contrary of what this thread was posted for: SEO is NOT dead, my clients are seeing a consistent year-over-year growth in organic traffic.

These companies receive anywhere from 100k-300k visits monthly. For 70% of those companies, we meet our benchmark of 65% organic traffic.



So don't this let this uninformed, immature man (BusinessCoach) tell you otherwise.

 

Like Revelations said, be ready for the personal attacks. Or better yet just use the ignore idiot feature. For a laugh, look at his other posts. Lots of newbie are picked off for profit motive,. Someone exposes the corruption, and wham! This is the only way he can make money.
The article he re-posted here was written in 2006, and thanks to me adding a hit now has around a whopping 430 reads in 4 years.

I like reading your comments and proof. But some coaches with a PR of 0 and distrustful Alexa ranking would go on the rampage.

 

Wow. There are things I agree with in this post, but I hardly think SEO is dead. Social media may be picking up ground, but 95% of my website visitors come from SE and not links or social media.

A lot of the things mentioned have just been changed in how the SE's deal with websites. The part dealing with how SEO has died makes no sense since the SE's are combating spam and black hat tricks all the time.
