Recently every one of us might have noticed that Alexa has changed a lot. There are new sections like Keyword Research Tool Search Traffic on the Rise and Decline High Impact Search Queries Remember the descriptions of Alexa that exist on the Web... Alexa gets information from its tool bar as well as other sources........we have now added many other sources. So that definitely means they gain information from Search Engine or Search Engines and Alexa rank is not here to be taken as a Joke. What are your opinions on this ?
I think that alexa was never ignored and even though it was/is not accurate it is still the most reliable site measure tool exists open to the public.
I guess updates happen all the time in their algo. But it doesn't matter as long as their toolbar is not preaded evenly they can't be accurate...
I've always thought alexa was more for entertainment purposes, not any real stats. You could boost your alexa using autosurfs, traffic exchanges, etc. If they add the stuff that you say they are adding, and more, it may make it more meaningful. But it will need to get over the notion that many people have that is alexa rank is meaningless. What would make it a better source than many other sites, as well as google itself? Now if google took alexa rank into account, that would be a whole different story. But they won't. At the present, there are much better services that do what alexa is adding. Alexa will need to do a bang up job on convincing serious SEO people that alexa matters. Stephen C
Actually Right, Alexa Rank you may treat this as your satisfaction, but actually they not send any traffic to you.
but we cab easily cheated alexa using the toolbar..how matter can it be? Simply just ask some of your friends and install the toolbar and visit your site once a day and you can see your alexa rank up up all the way~ Do you still believe in alexa?
It never had any effect that I could ever see. My old site's ranking was an 893 on Alexa and yet was nothing special Googlewise. I kid you not. I only found out later on what a greta number that is, oh well too bad the site got deleted. But we were never more than a PR 3.
