Sorry. @Liane It's too girly and I'm not a fan of the crust concept... @Seven design Your designs are good but you don't even appear to have read the original post. None of the colors are close to correct and the concepts make little sense. Okay I'm probably just going to pick one randomly within the next day or so because I don't want this to drag on. Bottom line - if you're using paint to make your logo submission, don't bother.
Here's my final design entries. Revised as according to feedback (logo same size as text and text inline) Will be waiting for the contest results now.

And so, my minus = subtraction -> every logo presented have a subtraction inside, realized with the idea "What if you remove something? The light will appear..." Two examples, very simple but eyecatching. I tried not to use hard shiny effects or reflections but I think stay well
Here are also some demos on your website (that I think you must tweak a bit more) and... but I also like this... Obviously it's not me the one who must like it
