What is Google Dance?

Can anyone explain me clearly about google dance. How often it happens. What is the criteria google consider when it re indexes the sites. Plz explain me elaborately.

Google Dance is the period when Google is rebuilding its rankings, and results fluctuate widely for a 3 to 5 day period. or in other words, Google updates its index on a regular, ongoing, constant basis to which it refers for its searches. This was not the case in the past, when such updates took place only once a month. Back then, the updates were named Google Dances

We can say that it is depend on the google when google starts update for example ( some time we find that our keywords get ranking in top but after some days we can not find in 100 pages , so it is the google dance .)

 

I heard it was the effort you put in to seo ranking ...I've heard folks say i'm doing the "Google Dance".

When the term Google Dance is used today it normally refers to a time when your website has started to move around in the ratings rather than maintaining a fixed position in the serps. Normally this is as a result of directly building a significant number of backlinks to your site.

 

google changes all the time, I can see my serch result from 500,000 to 10,000 in just a week.
