not a big issue this time, but it will be nice if googe removed them. I was searching for "wolfenstein punkbuster corrupted file/memory" and the top spots were occupied with spam:
    fqbito.info
    qwuytbtdw.info
    dqqxat.info

I wonder if it is really so hard to get rid of this kind of spam

I just did a search for one of my domain names and got 17,000 pages and that would have been good if they were all mine but tons of them were sites with stolen content from my site :(
Of course thay have AdSense on them. Reporting them to Google doesn't seem to help so I guess we are stuck with them :(

or you could report them to adsense team with proofs of course. That sometimes works but...spam's always there we jsut have to learn to deal with it.

It's amazing some of the diff spam sites... you have to wonder if you are being hit for a duplicate content penalty potentially as well.

I've tried to report some of these sites, but it seems useless... plus from what I've seen for some to be removed from the index is several months... more than enough time for the spammer to move the content to another domain...

Sorry to hear that they are ripping you off MikeSwede...

I have been closely monitoring these spam domains coming out of the yellow at serps. They are only increasing in numbers & we should just hope that there is no 'bat data push' invovled this time.

I am not sure why but I guess it might be that I usually have done something good that other people want to steal.
Years ago I had a web site where I sold software that I created. It didn't take long until I found crackz for everyone of them. First I was flattered but then P****d off because people shouldn't be doing things like that.
Now it is web site content that they steal just to make a few lousy bucks off of me.
With Adsense and other ways of making money easily on the net, it invites people that doesn't have any morale at all, don't have the brain to do something of their own. Parasites is what they are and should be exterminated.

There will always be spam sites and you have to lern to come to terms with the fact there is little to nothing you can do about it.

My suggestion is to report really spammy sites to google via the "report spam in our index" option via "Google Webmaster Tools" (aka sitemaps). I also report spam via the Ads by Gooooogle link to AdSense. I don't know how effective this is, but it does us no good to simply complain in forums about spam if we aren't reporting said spam to Google.

One particularly effective method of finding spam sites I have found is doing exact phrase searches for titles of my articles.

The problem is the spammers make 1000's of domains using a en endless combinations of characters. You can only report a tiny percentage fo them and they are replaced as quickly as they are rpoerted. The spem sites do die on thier own though since google bans them automatically.

True enough, but maybe when we come across those particularly spammy sub-domain (e.g. 59454.a.n6z.info) we can hasten the death of the entire domain group. Yes there are lots of spammers out there. If, however, enough of us actively used tools like GoogleAlert to track key phrases related to our own sites and reported spammy domains we uncovered, we could provide a sizable force to fight against these spammers. In the process, maybe, just maybe we could help hasten the death of sites that our scraping our content.

With GoogleAlerts, it takes me all of fifteen to thirty minutes a day to review the reports I get and report the spammers I find. Quite litterally a concerted effort by us could provide a really effective early warning system for Google that would help reduce the effectiveness of these spammers.
