but the ads are meant to be related to your sites content, how do adult sites appear in your ads if you site content is not related to porn or what-not?

Well as I was trying to point out but wrongly....

it is in reverse in this sense...sex education words on his site would have sex ads displayed due to Googles broad match methods they use to make money.

One thing you could do is get rid of the "advertise on this site" link google supplies to stop any adult type sites from signing up.

The I think you would have to rewrite content or head tags...

hard to say without seeing the site involved

    Peace

    Nicely put sem-advance.

You can't really control the content when it is being generated by the end users. For instance, I run a community and it is being heavily moderated by a team of moderators. This broad match technique will bring adult ads on terms like the ones mention by sem-advance. I run a family friendly site and such ads will only scare away the members.

    Thank you for the compliment

furion here is how you could do a work around using competitve ad filter

    https://www.google.com/adsense/filter-online

Take your log file URLs and use those to filter out the ads you dont want displayed.

Let us know if that works

    Peace

Hmm thanks for the help, yep I did consider the reverse of your comment regarding the adwords thing I got it then itself. But its difficult to censor stuff.. coz my site is the one mentioned in my signature... I cant avoid the use of words like sex and sexy in my content. I did go through the logs and place two sites on the filter.. however there are thousands of them out there.. we cant keep checking and adding new one's.. plus we get to know they exist only when they are clicked upon...

Still looking for a permanent way to end this... I hope google starts providing.. content with category match or something... lets see.. still haven't heard from them..

Thanks for all the help :)

haha!! last night i was checking up on my ad's and i noticed them advertising on one of my blogs

"girls girls girls" and "meet sexy strippers" . Not appropriate for the blog as the keywords have NOTHING to do with girls or sex in any way shape or form.

    Is this from your blog??

You see in the title girls?? and then the word Women on the second sentence??? and then theres the whole double entendre of girls and gadgets...

Google then thinks this is an acceptable site to place the more racy ads....

Do no evil they say,... lol

Tell that to your mother. Speak with courtesy or do not speak at all. That unintelligent remark made no impression here.

even when saying that tracking was the way you find out porn ads, it\'s no surprising at all.

Posted about this before, Google is very careful with publishisers banning those who show up AdSense in pages with adult or gambling content, but they have no inconvenience accepting money from adult and gambling advertisers
