    Do NOT market it as Windows Microsoft, that's for sure. You do, and you're screwed -- They'll take it from you.

    You need to keep away from the TM, and if you do, you'll be fine :)

    Thanks bk871, what about the value?
    Oh... I don't think there will be any TM issues (refer to .ms policies)

    It's worth nothing more than being pursued by Microsoft's legal department.

    WIN = Winning NOT Windows.
    MS = MISS is the default form of address for women. "Madame"

    Where the hell did you get the idea that Windows = Win ?

    Windows as always been a failure against Unix/Linux since Windows Me.

    The only "Win" that can sue you is this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WIN_Corporation

    I quite don't understand why the domain name win.ms could be a TM infringement if used for a windows related website like a forum, blog, reviews website etc... Anyways, I'll do my research and make sure I do think legally.

    Thank you all for your replies.

    Regards

    I don't think you get what I am saying.

    If you use your domain: WIN.MS and advertise/have a website regarding microsoft/windows, it's most likely infringing the trademark.

    Even in this thread, you used the title "Windows - Microsoft" to describe the domain.

    What if I make it clear that the website is not owned or maintained by Microstft Corp?

    microsoft will not ask your domain if you just use as normal site ( like winning methods , inspirations , or sme thing with casino sites ( look .ms cctld for such sites policies) )

    If you are going to brand win.ms as windows Microsft you are just wasting time and money :)

    Your original post says "windows - Microsoft" which implies that you intend on associating this domain with it. If so, it's going to wind up as a tragedy.
