As said earlier paypal is american company and there is a hard chance that they can roll to pakistan, because if not still now then when? India got accepted too, forgot bangladesh, its quite like a dream. Pakistan facing problems of unapproval mainly due to terrorist activities and very less online offline users ratio. As per as banking - I don't think any problem should concern about that. Its also due to money laundering problems, and paypal don't want itself to be banned by world authorities.
There are over 20 Million Online Users, half of it use internet for business purposes. Fraud problem ratio is much less, almost ignorable in Pakistan than many other countries. Regards
I feel bad for Pakistani service providers being stuck with paypal. Other big companies operate in Pakistan and should paypal. I am helping a few Pakistan people get their transactions completed through paypal to help these guys continue making money from their services.
i heard alot from you guys giving comments on Paypal avoiding Pakistani people due to poor banking system, terrorist activities, not in a good book of USA etc etc well i don't agree with you guys on these points as Paypal cant spread his services world wide in just a Blink of an Eye, they are still growing and they have accepted many countries including Muslim countries(Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen) and poor countries(Somalia, Ethiopia), small countries(Nepal, Maldives) as well and it is not even about or because violence in a country (Republic of the Congo) or a country having clashes with US (Venezuela, China). so there is no such thing as what you guys commented above. its also true that you can use other services like Moneybookers etc but still you cant deny the fact that Paypal dominate the world of Online Payment. while searching the term "when Paypal will come to Pakistan?" I found an Online Petition Add Pakistan As A Fully Supported PayPal Country on web so all you guys have to do is to become one Voice for this issue! why i see so less signatures(1884 Total Signatures) here, why don't we make it bigger and let Paypal know that we need Their services in our country. and then send this petition link to Paypal authorities by "Contact us" option.
Hello Pakistani Fellow. I found a very nice & sweet person here, & my friend, who take my payments in PayPal & send me. I think, this one is good & only option for us, Pakistanis. Here is his profile http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=21637 Regards
i dont think its to do with banking system....i think it has to do with regulatory terms and on top of that govt does not want money coming in which cannot be traced
Paypal is not available in pakistan because i think Paypal is limited to only few countries around the world.
Pakistan has a very poor track record in terms of terrorism. Funds are sent and received in Pakistan to fund terrorism across the world. So paypal got that blacklisted. If paypal enters Pakistan many countries will put restrictions on Paypal transactions. And USA, India will probably do this first. And most of the members belong from these two countries. International Banks only have their names but their working and policies are governed by the country. RBS pakistan and RBS India doesnt have any special relation. They will be treated like two different banks from different countries. I know it sounds bad but i dont wanna offend any pakistani. but this is the truth. long time back i had read this in a blog.
I think PayPal is suspicious to launch their services in Pakistan because Pakistan has limited scope of E-Business! I guess they would only target for large number of profit extent in Pakistan!
I beg to differ here. If Paypal can have its services in various smaller countries, Pakistan is relatively bigger to not offer the same for its e-commerce potential. I guess the problem lies in getting complied with the rules/guidelines and the complicity involved with respect to the business it expects to generate. Country with reasonable business potential but relatively high entry barrier would be possibly turning them away! Regards, RightMan
I am glad that gaypal isn't in Pakistan. I am using moneybookers and alertpay and their services are great.
