I have been doing some Yahoo Answers work to get more visibility on my blog. In a short time span, my account became Top Contributor and reached Level 3. But recently, with no apparent reason, my account got suspended. Any tips on how can I prevent this from happening again?
This is used to be an excellent ways to market and promote your website until it had been abused to make money and found out by Yahoo. They decided to put more restricted and this is the main reason of your banning. You can prevent this to be happen again by not post your website url all the answer you made.
Just don't answer only on questions related to your niche. Here are some more tips # Answer on a variety of questions, like on health, sports,on your niche, movies. # Hide your Q n A in your profile (i.e Q n A must not be visible to other users) # Don't say to anyone that refer to "MY" blog or this is a "Good" blog/site. Just enter URL in the source box. # Try to use at least 2 ~3 accounts , use profile picture(Y! avatar), complete your profile and then start answering. Female profiles are less susceptible to ban. Hope this will help
If they see that you have been promoting the same site again and again that is a quick way to get yourself banned.
for saving your account from suspended you have to post your answer very carefully. you must have to follow rules and regulation of yahoo question and answer.
The best solution would be not to post your URL..When you post a link to your website it is almost asking to be reported and lose your account, even if you answers are honest and truthful.
If you have posted URLs in all answers then that can be reason to ban your account. if this is not reason then mail to yahoo support team mail.
Did you check your email? they sometimes give you a chance to dispute the claim. Same thing happened to me, but it was 1 guy who looked at my account and some of my answers and then flagged 3 of them in 1 minute, I didn't check my email in time to dispute the claim and my account got ban.
I agree. They don't even state the real reason behind the suspension? Nope. They didn't give me any violation notice. Just a "you are suspended" mail.
Only today, i actually took part of yahoo answers, and im actually addicted to it already! this is a VERY VERY useful site. it actually made me love physics way way waaayyy more. any ideas wat can i do with a physics in the future? like a degree or whatever.
Just answer different questions from different categories and avoid placing the link of your site in all your answers.
Yes I was addicted to Yahoo answers myself -- kind of got caught up in helping people on loads of topics -- makes you feel good helping out and then of course you get to advance levels etc LOL At the time I hadn't any connection in my account to a blog or webpage or anything of my own and hadn't knowingly broken rules -- then one day - suspended. Since then I have heard it happen to lots of others. They rarely will tell you why and rarely does anyone win any sort of reconsideration of the suspension -- likely next step is they shut down your answers account. In addition to the advice above I would recommend that you prepare mentally for a suspension, don't take it personally and don't put all your eggs in one basket. Start again, take the advice above.
